To help "sell" the exposed chrome part of his forehead is to add scratches, or rivets, or a small dent, or all the above. Something like that, something that the viewers eye can recognize. Maybe a more gun-like material on the gun would help the viewer to accept its blockiness. Black steel, etc. Nice, dark pic! AgentSmith

The wall at the upper part of the image is to empty. Also try to get better lighting. Try a keylight and a fill light. Maybe a negative fill light would work in this case. The shadow is neccesary for the right mood, but it's too flat this way. It takes the depth out of the image. Other than that. it's a good image.

Looks good so far. Maybe try and add a bit of depth the wound on his head, and do a bit more with the lights to give the idea of reflection on the chrome. I mostly go for a red light and a blue one. Don't know why, seems to work OK. Re the face damage - I'm not suggesting you go as far as I did (see link) but a bit of gore never hurt anyone! ;)I think the space above his head is there for some reason. Like for a magazine title graphic or something, I'm assuming.

Erlik - I took a bit of a liberty with the story! ;) Just one thing I realised when I looked again at your image, that makes it look a little "off" - there's too much ambience on the skin. To make it more realistic, get rid of all ambience and just use light sources, so the shadows are all the same shade of black. ATM the shadows on his jacket are darker than the shadows on his skin, making him look a little plasticky. Some people like ambience, but because in real life all non-light-emitting objects have an ambience of 0 it can sometimes make scenes look fake. The downside is you'll probably need more light sources unless you're going for a very dark scene. Good luck with the pic :)
FWIW, all details about light, shadow and guns aside, his expression looks a bit bored to me. I don't know if that was your intention, and maybe tinkering with the lighting will make a difference to how his attitude comes across. I like the wall texture quite a lot, I have the impression he is standing in an alley. Lin
