I'm leaving. There are some really great people here, but there are some real losers, and I'm done. Marque

Marque, I am sorry you let someone chase you off. The trolls win when the warriors leave the field. I don't blame you though. Take care.

bknoh ( ) posted Fri, 29 November 2002 at 5:42 PM

Leave because this troll is making waves again? Please no! Merry Christmas to you, too! Diane

42 million people around the world are dying from HIV Aids; we are going through the worst cholera epedemic in the history of the world; more than 50% of the word's children go to bed ungry every day... " Our problems don't amount to a hill of beans..." Take a break. Find your wonderful smile again. Come back to us soon. And we can "play it again, Sam." Happy hollidays! Q

Quixote, must you put things in perspective? ;) You're right, of course. Happy holidays, Marque. I hope you change your mind but I wish you well whatever you decide.

Happy Christmas Marque. I never got to know you, but you are obviously well-liked.

Marque, we would be sorry to see you leave amigo. Don't worry about the losers...they aint worth shit! You should see some of the abusive e-mail we get.....why?....damned if I know.....some people have such a miserable existance that they seek to inflict it on others.....screw 'em....do what you feel is right my friend. Happy Christmas and a Safe New Year

Letterworks ( ) posted Fri, 29 November 2002 at 6:15 PM

Marque, I don't "know" you very well, but I have had the pleasure of readingmany of your posts for quite some while. I think this is a rotten shame to let a TROLL run you off! I've found that, on this and on other sites, they simply want attention. As hard as it is to do, concidering the bait they throw out, the BEST course of action is to ignore them and go on about your normal business, eventually they get the idea just leave for other waters,or they increase the intensity of their posts to try and attract attention and get themselves banned. Please reconcider leaving. Take a couple of days and relax then come back and join in the real purpose of this list, to increase our knowledge and use of Poser. mike

take care Marque, never really got to know you but you seem pretty nice. Maybe you will come back in the new year?

Lapis ( ) posted Fri, 29 November 2002 at 6:27 PM

Do you need Dave So to have a talk with you? Stick around. Unless you really need a break, then I understand. But do come back soon. The sooner, the better. How's tomorrow sound?

sparrowheart ( ) posted Fri, 29 November 2002 at 6:39 PM

Marque, Renderosity is not Renderosity without you. I always look forward to reading what you have to say, and looking at your images. Don't leave us. Kimberly

SamTherapy ( ) posted Fri, 29 November 2002 at 6:57 PM

Marque, If you're going to leave this place, make it for something serious not that I wish it on you and yours) not because of the "losers" here. Judging by the comments posted above, a lot of people here like you and want you to stick around. FWIW so do I, although I hardly know you. When things seem bleak, think of these two useful phrases: Nil carburundum illegitimo and Coppula eam se non posit acceptera jocularum. All the best, whatever you choose.

Hi Marque the situation you are in reminds me of bullying in that they won't go away and keep pestering people . Now having had my fair share of bullies over the years I have found that there are 3 ways of dealing with them 1 you can run away sometimes this is a good option. 2 you can stand there and slugg it out sometimes this works though the bully by definition is usualy too thick headed to realise when they are beat. 3 I have found the best way of dealing with such people, which really 'gets on their wick' is just let them get on with it (you know give em enough rope etc) just like a tree bend if pushed. Bend enough they fall flat on their face, (figuratively or literally) then you stand up and laugh. anyway if you need time out take it just don't burn your bridges (yes the metaphors are comming thick and fast folks!) and come back to us all soon. remember the unoffical motto of the british civil service 'Nil illigitamum carborudum' (sorry spelling latin or otherwise not a strong point!) see you soon Dave

TheWanderer ( ) posted Fri, 29 November 2002 at 7:07 PM

Sorry sam cross post with the latin

Oh, no! It's always the nicest ones who leave us. Please hang in there and stay. I don't know what happened, but whatever it is, it'll blow over. Melanie

I also hope you don't leave our community, the good people really do outweigh the bad. At the very least, lurk for a while and keep in touch with the friends you already have here. It's hard not to get involved in some of the heated discussions here, but unlike real life, problems here often do seem to go away when they're ignored. :) Take care and happy holidays to you too. Marque, Sometimes the politics and negativity here make me forget that I'm a pacifist... and it is necessary to pull back for a few days and think creative images. But I keep lurking, and there are far too many good people here to just walk away because of an ignoramus or two. I wish that you could have made it to the party last summer so that you'd know how nice some of these folks are ftf. Do what is needed for your stress levels and happiness, but don't close the door completely. {hug} Carolly

You know what? You are right. Never been known to let anyone push me around. I will stay, and thank you everyone for the great insights. I will just have to learn to be more careful when I choose something to read and make sure I ignore this person's posts. Thanks everyone. Marque

Marque, I've been in the same spot before. We all have a right to express our opinions. And it bothers me when the "offender" takes on the role of "hurt party" trying to blame the problem on everyone else. I've had a couple of run-ins with butt-heads in the past myself and felt crushed by it, so I know exactly how you feel. I'm just glad you'll still be around. In a community as large as this, you're bound to run into some idiots now and then. Thank goodness, they're in the minority and that the rest of the group is friendly and helpful. Welcome back and you have a wonderful and creative holiday season, hon. Melanie
