hmm sorry but i have to disagree about the breast size . I will give you the waist and hips but not the breasts . They are closer 34's .If you follow the line up the back in your render you will notice were the angel turns sharply then smouths back out right were you get your mesurment from . I checked my possete and it was from the shoulderbones and the pose. So discounting them and following the natural curve more you will see a different size.

geep ( ) posted Fri, 29 November 2002 at 8:08 PM

You are more than welcome to disagree, but ..... ... these measurements were derived by taking the P4 nude woman mesh and importing to RDS 5.5 using a scale of 1:100. An artificial "tape" was then used in the position shown and then the length of the "tape" was found by obtaining the length of each segment of the "tape" and adding all the segments together. The same method was used for all 3 measurements, so if you buy 2 of them ..... ;=]

hehe Well that not what i ment only that a slight adjustment should be made for the shoulder bones that in a real gal wouldnt have been poking out like they do in possette. With her arms up it changes the dimmensions some . You did a wonderfull job mind you . I was kind of wondering my self what the default mesurements were for possette , vicky and steph.

Jaqui ( ) posted Fri, 29 November 2002 at 8:46 PM

hmm, she looks like she has more hips than 32", I would have figured her hips for 36 as well. ahh now I see where the difference is, you measured her hips above the widest point.

geep ( ) posted Fri, 29 November 2002 at 10:58 PM

I'm not an expert mindst you, but ... ... I believe that the hips are always measured at the hip-bone, are they not? Can any of you ladies jump in here and help the ol' geepster out with this one? ;=]

Thats called High hip its lower .

Bust - Run the tape along the fullest part of your breast and around your back going under your arms. (Not your bra size)

Waist - Find the smallest part of your waist, it is usually just above your belly button

Hips - Find the widest part of your hips on the hip bone.

hauksdottir ( ) posted Sat, 30 November 2002 at 1:09 AM

Dr. Geep, The fullest part of a woman's hips is often about 7" down, but sometimes lower. Most women have high rounded behinds as well as a bit of tummy fat... to fit into jeans or tight skirts the "hip size" has to accomodate padding on rear and front, so the >>>widest<<< part is needed. On the side you can usually feel an upper and lower bone, go for the lower one and adjust until you hit the widest spot. Posette is swaybacked in your side view, so you might want to square up her abdomen and hip anyway before measuring. Carolly

geep ( ) posted Sat, 30 November 2002 at 1:32 AM

... strange (and absolutely WONDERFUL !!!) but complicated figures ...

... this wouldn't be so difficult to determine.

Why am I doing this you ask?

Well, I guess I just have way too much time on my hands.
If you don't believe me, just ask atthisstage, they'll tell you. ;=]

Carolly,

Thanks for the feedback, but ...
7" down from what? ..... the "hip" line that is shown in the above pic?

"On the side you can usually feel an upper and lower bone, go for the lower one ..."
I'm not gonna touch THAT one with a ten foot ... (you know what) - even though the thought is very provacative !

"Posette is swaybacked in your side view, ..."
Posettes pose is with all parameters "zeroed."
And, I agree, she does have a bit of a swayback.

Jaqui ( ) posted Sat, 30 November 2002 at 1:39 PM

try seven inches down from where you measured her. ~wink~ hmmm, swaybacked, well actually, because of the posture ( or rather bad posture) of the majority of women, posette's swayack is an accurate portrayal of how a woman stands. seems good posture isn't being taught anymore, though it really doesn't become an issue until sexual awareness develops, since that is when most womens posture devolves into "butt out, chest out", creating lower back pain and a swayback. and to be fair, unless a guy has been in the military, he doesn't have good posture either. it's only in the military that posture is beingtaught any more.

Jaqui ( ) posted Sat, 30 November 2002 at 1:42 PM

the curve in posette's back is a fairly good approximation of a healthy spinal column, it's just that the muscles should be reducing the appearance of it. (I had to study posture, and the natural curve of theback, to reduce the effects of my scoliosis. )

geep ( ) posted Sat, 30 November 2002 at 2:41 PM

Now, Doctor, are you going to apply these learning to Victoria? Curious minds want to know....

Jim Burton ( ) posted Mon, 02 December 2002 at 7:23 PM

When I was building the original Supermodel Vickie I did try and make her a specific set of measurements, namely 36-23-35, based on a height that I assumed was 5' 11". She is a lot taller than the Posette, and somewhat thinner, of course. I'd guess standard Vickie is more like 40-28-36, or there about.

hauksdottir ( ) posted Tue, 03 December 2002 at 4:46 AM

Definately female here. :) By the time I found an illo from a clothing catalog with the proper place to make measurements, you'd got her taped. Those measurements are only considered "perfect" because some ancient Grecian sculptors idealized them in marble. Most of us fall short of the perfection of Aphrodite and Artemis, which is good when you consider the fate of mortals who rivaled them in beauty. Carolly

bikermouse ( ) posted Tue, 03 December 2002 at 11:06 PM

sooo . . . what happened to them?

hauksdottir ( ) posted Wed, 04 December 2002 at 2:00 AM

Zeus... (in the form of a swan) raped Leda, (in the form of a bull) carried off Europa, (in the form of golden shaft of light or coins) impregnated Danae, etc. and etc.. Apollo chased Daphne and she got turned into a tree to escape him. As much as I like trees, turning into one ought to be a matter of desire not desperation. And poor Medusa! She was beautiful, and a virgin sworn to the service of a goddess, when a god (I'm forgetting which one) pounced upon her. She got cursed with the snakes by her jealous goddess so that no man's wandering eye would lightly fall that way again. Leaving her homeland and all known amenities, she fled with her sisters to a barren rock... and even there she wasn't safe from the gods because Aethena told Perseus to go there and behead her. Not good at all. A wart on the nose or knock knees would be easier to live with than the attention that too much beauty can bring.

bikermouse ( ) posted Wed, 04 December 2002 at 11:56 AM

hauksdottir, Of course you might also say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it's appreciation dependant on more than just physical attributes. Would Helen of Troy or Penelope be considered beautiful today? Perhaps not. In my opinion, the shallow 'ideals' most of us place on beauty today come from Hollywood rather than Classic Greek statues. To me, the most beautiful of people are those who can see the beauty in others. As I learn more about modelling and morphs I find that the Poser figures are too thin. (Roxanne is, of course, too far the other way.) I've known a couple of girls that are "wasp waisted" and they really weren't that much fun to be around as they didn't seem to have the energy to keep up with me walking or hiking or going off to explore "New Lands". Well, I've gotta go get some presents for friends. geep, I think 38C-26-36 is what I'd consider ideal. but as you probably read above, more to it than that - doncha know. cheers, - TJ
