I've used poser for some time to do illustrations... mainly as discussed here to arrange a scene, scaling, perspective. Good tool to get things worked out quickly on deadlines.
This was for an article aboud dads and sons. The pen was created in Carrara... rest done with photoshop and some painter work.

Maybe the Georgia logo example was a poor one.
Most of the logos are free-form shapes (not ovals, squares or polygons) that need to loose their background and appear against the helmet color. There are a bunch of these to do for ACC, SEC, and the pros too, so I am looking for the quickest way to get them done.
My problem (basically was either not reading the manual or it isn't there) is that I was trying to put my mask in the "alpha" channel when it should be going in the "opacity mask" layer... duuhhh... anyway Mark's superb tutorials got my head straight on this. I gotta spend more time with his tuts!

Blender also has an undo function accessed by alt+U
This brings up a list of your recent edits, letting you pick what you want to undo.
I've just started with Blender using the sculpt tool. I like it.
Haven't learned much about Blender modeling... I have been doing my base meshes in Hexagon and then sculpting those in Blender.
