Thread: Genesis 2 Morphs in PP Game Dev and latest SR upgrade | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
 Folks:
Eureka! Reinstalling did not work, but deleting my PP2014 directory and then installing Poser again did work. Now the new morphs are working. I will have to do without the SR 5.1 updates until DAZ3D and SmithMicro/Poser make their peace again.
Thanks everyone for your help.

Thanks for the links.
I have not tried this yet. Trying to read up on this process was challenging, and a definite deterrent.
I had to b3e at work until late last night, and get up early today. so I had no time to try anything. I have opened a ticket with Smith Micro. So, I will see if they have any useful comments of suggestions.
Thanks,

Thanks WandW, that is exactly where they are, but I appreciate all help. Surely something will work.
I much prefer to play with Poser than to work on it. :(

Every morph I previously installed works fine. No morphs that I recently installed work.

Well, DAZ3D technical support says that Poser broke the DSON Importer, and I need to contact them to get it fixed.
So much for Poser compatibility, which is a pay your money and take your chances proposition. :(
At this point I can not recommend Poser Pro Game Dev, Genesis/Genesis 2 products, and DSON Importer content.
It might work for you, and it certainly might not.
My best shot will be the Poser community. They remain the most innovative problems solvers in my experience. And of course new and very well made content like Dawn and Dusk (which are remarkably Poser compatible).

Well DAZ is looking into my problem. No solutions are offered.
I have tried about everything I can think of to trouble shoot this compatibility problem. I can install morphs to Genesis 2, I can see them in the parameter dials, but they do not actually do anything. Nothing I have installed since early December works, but every morph I installed before that continues to work as expected.
I have reinstalled everything. The only thing I haven't done is uninstall Poser and re-install from scratch. That seems like a lot of work.
The few suggestions I have gotten I have tried, but it did not help.
I may just have to return a lot of content and products. But, I don't have any idea what I will do with DAZ store credits now.

I know some people are not having this problem, but the tech support people at DAZ3D informed me about this, so I think it is credible information.
I do not know what the nature of the problem is, so I do not know if rolling backward on SRs or versions will help. It seems to be a good place to start, and I have spent 20 hours trying other things.
I started a thread at DAZ forums last week (hoping that I wasn't the only one to have the problem and that I could get a quick answer). I wanted to avoid the usual down spiral thread that arises with these topics here, but not many people there offer suggestions. The people who most often post here are more knowledgeable. I would really like to just solve the problem.

I would love to be able to take advantage and experiment with some of the innovations in Game Dev.Â

Thread: Dusk | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Dusk is one of the most Poser compliant figures I have ever tried.
For individual body parts, Dusk scales better than any figure since M3/V3. And, he is weight mapped. I shall have to try Dawn.
Dusk desperately needs some bump/displacement maps to break up the smoothness of his vinyl skin. He needs some more textures. He also needs some more morphs (though I have been able to disarrange his basic distracting facial look).
I think the things presently available for the figure (most of which I bought) make him a fairly good value. More please.

Hello. I don't know how I missed hearing about the update of PML2012. Does it work with PoserPro2014?

Thanks, this script does what I need.
I would also love to find a way to save parameters of morphs to a pose file.
Thanks again,

Thread: Loading 2 of the same hair prop on one figure | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You can also preprepare your hair, export it as an object, re-import it, size it, and position it. Then parent it to the head.

Quote - I think there would be less complaints about the Material Room if Poser came with a library of decent materials.
The current included material collection varies considerably in quality, some are pretty good, some are just about OK, some are terrible. This inconsistency puts me off trying them out.
Okay, I agree with that.

Thread: Black screen when I use Firefly Render? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Without more information, we are shooting into the "dark".
You may also get a black render if your camera is in a wall or object. Sometimes, preview shows the scene, but rendering goes black. If this is the problem, move the camera closer and try again.

If BagginsBill is going to desert the forums over whining, maybe we need a whine advisory flag? That way we can skip a thread that contributes little to the generally positive nature of the forums?
