Thread: Poser 4.01 import problem into Vue 4.2 | Forum: Vue
Di, you can turn off Open GL in the preferences window. Had a similiar prob with Vickie 3 after upgrading to 4.2. Turning off open GL fixed this display issue. Although I have to admit I'm on a mac. But you should give it ry. Hope this helps, Phil
Thread: Can VuePro export scenes to Poser? | Forum: Vue
Just a short question... Why should I import import a Vue scenery into Poser if I have both programs? The other way round (Poser to Vue) makes much more sense to me, since the renders quality and lightning capabilities of Vue are much better than Poser's. Did I miss something? Phil
Thread: alpha plane | Forum: Vue
I don't know what's wrong with alpha planes? Why is this cheating? Hopefully this doesn't become another pure-3d-evangelists-thread...no offense! ;) I used an alpha plane im my last imag "Room with a View" myself. It's the cityscape you can see outside the window. Okay, the city was made in 3d by using terrainmaps and some basic textures. But anyway it's an alphaplane. :) As stated in many previous threads IMHO it's the final result what counts regardless how the image has been made. And I think you did a very good job with you image. Keep up the good work! Phil
Thread: Some nice water, finally! | Forum: Vue
Great result! I'd be interested in a step-by-step-tut, too. Anyhow I can imagine how it's done, I never did this myself. ;) Cheers, Phil

Thread: The current Top 20 - October-09-2003 | Forum: Vue
Totally agree to the above. The quality and amount of images posted ever day is overwhelming. IMO a lot of talented people from the Bryce community switched to Vue since Corel announced that they'll quit further development of Bryce. ;) No need to say that there are a lot of talented Vue artists around. @ Gaussian: I don't think that you "have" to be popular/famous to make it into the Top 20 though it might be an advantage. Me myself doesn't car if the name under the image is a person I know. What's in a name? It's the image that counts. Happy Vueing, Phil
Thread: I'm online :D | Forum: Vue
Great job, Thomas! What I really like about it is it's clarity - no Flash and such which make it necessary to have vearious plugins installed. Well, done! :) Cheers, Phil

Thomas, you're very generous. Thanks a lot! I already have a picture in my mind...can't wait to get my hands on this great tree model. :))) Cheers, Phil
Thread: Vue4 Pro Sidegrade order problems | Forum: Vue
Lynn already contacted me in person. Thanks, Lynn! The problem wasn't because of a mac browser. I tested it on various systems afterwards (WinXP and Sun Solaris). Since I'm from Germany I'll get contacted by e-on's European office. I'll keeping you guys updated. :) Phil
Thread: I'll soon be back... | Forum: Vue
Welcome back! Just take your time - I'm really looking forward to your next work and the upcoming website.:) Phil
Thread: What do I do when it has died? Any help appreciated. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Jane, I wanted to add my two cents to your question, too. As all the other previous people alreaydy said this happens to everyone. I had this kind of hangover, too. And not only once. ;) It's a good idea to do something completely different. During the last six weeks I didn't touch Poser at all. Spent a lot of time with reading, biking and walking. I have dozens of pictures in my mind - old and new ones. And now I don't know where to start first. lol So don't worry about your creativity block. Just do something you like to do and the ideas will come back soon. Just wanted to let you know that you're not along with this issue. Everyone experiences it from time to time. All the best, Phil
Thread: Vue Pro mac version anyone? | Forum: Vue
Scott, Vue 4.1.2 hangs on my Mac from time to time as well, but it never locked the whole machine. What OSX are you running? Mine is 10.2.6 If Vue hangs I just kill this process and restart Vue. @Guitta: I first thought of contacting e-on, but I was not very shure if I get honest answers. Just remember the box of Vue4 saying the Poser import worked on a mac which wasn't true in the very beginning when I bough it. ;) Phil
Thread: Update to WIP | Forum: Vue
Very promising. I'm looking forward to the final version. I assume you will add some rocks/mountains etc. Right now there's too much barren land to my personal taste. :)
