Well, I'm just reflecting on what I've generally noticed. If you don't have a particular passion for something to begin with, it tends to show. In your first image, I noticed the tiling on the two parts didn't match up porportion wise. That's a little thing that would turn me off from a set. That was really the most obvious problem to me in the first picture.
You can go a full leopard print outfit as long as the size of the spots are consistant. Making the top black was unnecessary. Now if you wanted to add a black belt, that'd be a way to go.

Thread: Too much leopard Print? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - I have to admit that I don't really like leopard print.
If you don't like it, you generally shouldn't be making it. You'd only be making something sub-optimal that you aren't really passionate about and it'll show.
So get rid of the leopard print and put a texture on it you'd appreciate.

What's the best way to control brightness, ambient value or the Intensity setting in D3D's firefly renderer?

Thread: Can you get rid of that extra white space? | Forum: Suggestion Box
No, it's just that one ad for the new version of poser I seem to be having trouble with.
When I queues up in the forums, I see that same space, but it's gray.

Okay, I think I found part of the problem:

I don't see anything in the white space, but I get a link to that. The placeholder for the ad is pretty large. I'm talking like 640 wide by 800 or so tall large (rough guess).

Thread: Victoria 4 vs Victoria 5 vs Victoria 6 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - ne thing that I do find amusing about the whole Genesis, Genesis 2 Female thing is the fact that so many users are offened that DAZ chose to add "Genesis" to the name. I actually asked over there if DAZ had called it by some innocuous, generic term (way back in the early days Zygote/DAZ sold a model called Nude Young Woman) would there have been as much of an upset. I actually got an answer to the effect that DAZ should have just called it V6.
Isn't the Gene2 female form functionally similar to gene1, but a female base? If so, then the name is understandable. I actually think it is a good idea to call her Gene2 because she is (presumably) an iteration of Gene1. I think the Victoria name is a legacy that won't go away for one reason or another. Probably because users expect the base model to have a name (viki, miki, anton, cookie, etc) and female body shape didn't stand out enough.

Thread: The perfect Poser figure | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If the new figure was capable of both sekirei/queen's blade perportions (my favorite) or thin/atheletic/"real" perportions, she has potential to do well.
If she has a pretty face and looks nice enough out of the box, she can do well.
If her ears are built to flatten so we can add cat ears or fox ears, then she's the best model ever.

I play GW2 from time to time, can't remember my server though atm...
Is guesting possible? I think GW2 is perhaps the most anti-social MMO yet so I haven't yet had a reason to try going to another server.
I also hate a number of the armor designs in the new game, though some people like them.

I think Gene 2 actually needs a male and female version. Because of body differences, things don't look right on one gender or the other.

Thread: How do you feel about creatures and standalone figures? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
My big problem with critters is if they don't match what I think they should look like, I don't get them. Take all the dragons DAZ has. I have the mil dragon 2 and that's it. Mostly because all the other ones look funky and I didn't want a low res sub-D dragon in poser.
As for what makes them look good... I guess they have to pass the eyeball test, designs can't be out there, have an appropriate amount of details for the price, etc.
For mechs its all about the design.

BadKittenCo, the moba genre have a lot of sources of inspiration if that's what you are asking.
As to your question not really. I play LOL (the fact there are no Ahri or Sona outfits in the MP is suprizing to me), Borderlands, GW and GW2, 4x strategies, and JRPGs. My "art" tends to be mostly pinup stuff, some portraits a little comedy, a little politics, the occasional angle experiment, that sort of thing.
Avacyn (a MTG card) looks like something in your style if you need inspiration; their art is a good place to look.

Well, it's been only 2 years. Couldn't they have done a Gene 1.1 update instead?
To put it another way, what's going to be the life cycle of this new figure compared to the last one? Also, if all you have to do is export as a CR2, why didn't daz save poser users a little and done that step for them?
