easiest to remove old one but if one is on desktop - think it makes new one with a (1) or (2) at end. So if you didn't remove the old one first - assume the new one has a number following.

question is - is the path the same from your link? Like if you use windows explorer - go to I: drive - go to Programs - go to Curious Labs (or metacreations - dependent on installation) then Poser 4 folder; does that address in explorer window match your link address both in target and startin fields? I got tired of going through the above to access my sub-directories so copied mine to I:Poser 4 so that address is in Start in field with quote marks at beginning and end. The Target field says "I:Poser 4Poser.exe". Easiest thing to do is to go to where you put P4 - and click on the poser.exe to see if it starts (just to make sure it is good) then if it does - exit P4 - right click on poser.exe and do send to desktop as shortcut.

However, I have used the hair before and not had that so looked at what was different. Turns out it was the camera pointing at bangs (in my case light 3 of standard set) all I did was change color of that light from the skin color to really lightblue/white and it cleaned up to match (and a wee bit lighter [like my bangs thanks to beautician ;-)]) rest of the hair. i believe that the capitalization makes a difference on folder names under poser4/runtime/geometries - doesnt it?

Only time I get that message is when I am using P5 saved files and then load them in PPP. Does this help?

Ok no one has said it so I will.... PoserWorld. I got a lifetime membership specifically because of the complaints you have listed. I have scrubs, picnic dresses and flat shoes (me getting old and 4" heels were never my forte!) good stuff for kids, mike, steph, posette, scenes, props, etc. Steve Shanks just put out an update email as they have been having problems with server but should be up now at http://www.poserworld.com (is I just checked). I cant emphasize how wonderful this sites stuff is. (ps lifetime is now only $150 but they have 3, 6 and 12 month subscriptions)

if AVIs match the output movie - is easy to use as background. If they don't - best way to keep perspective and help stop pixalizing is to put on Square and size and move in your scene. I use bryce to make landscape avi (same size as my movie output in P5 PPP) and have had absolutely no problem but have noted others complaining of pixalization - I havent seen it using same size avi. OK now I am knocking on wood ;-)

1st make sure disk is defragged and you have plenty of harddisk available for paging (virtual mem), 2nd get rid of fonts that are not used (for psp or any program that uses fonts actually), 3rdly if poser continues to be problem - is probably because of time it takes to load your libraries..... got junk that needs to be cleaned? Also, on your general preferences, do you have a default character that is compressed? That really slowed me down when I put V3 as my new default. So now I just open a plain empty window on my set preference. Good luck!
