Well said iloco, however I will take flogs advice when it come to my car LOL the new fixes make a big difference in performance. Vue4pro is a turning point in the history of Vue. Although Vue d'Esprit was not initially designed for professionals, it soon appeared that one out of two users started to do just that, for promotion, for advertising, and so forth. Pro was designed in response to those needs and interoperates with most major applications in the industry. It also requires more from your system IMHO so a whole new set of interesting problems can arise and e-on's dedicated effort to keep testing is commendable. Regards.

Well after installing Vue4pro on my laptop I did get this warning: Your video board/driver could not be located on our list of qualified hardware. Your video board may not perform correctly with this soft ware...We recommend that you disable Open GL. However I clicked ok and the program loaded just fine and I did shut off open GL and it seems to perform ok. Surely not like my main frame PC but it does the job. Thanks for letting me explore this problem. I hope you find an answer for your laptop but I don't think laptops can do a very good job with Vue at least mine does not. Regards

Now that is interesting Norm I have an IBM Think pad with xp pro installed on it. I only have vue4.2 installed on it and was using it as a rendering tool not that it performed very well due to the limited ram I think. Not sure what the problem maybe however I understand this must be disturbing. I do know however Vue4 pro can really take up a lot of ram fast and I am not sure if a laptop can handle it. You got me thinking now however and I will see if can install it on my laptop. Thanks for the interesting problem to test out. Regards

Well thanks for your input or excuse. It only takes a few moments to think of how to be tactful to others. I think it nice to be important but it is more important to be nice. I would think this would apply more so to a moderator that is representing a software program like Vue d'esprit. When my short answers seems a little harsch this may be that I'm really out of time and have lots of work to do (I also have a regular work) and the above answer for where to find the running challenge did not need a long answer :-) Perhaps this should have been considered before you took on this great responsibility?

Well John I am sorry but according to E-on it is a new improved rendering engine and if you try both the Vue4 and the Vue4pro you will see a very large difference in quality. Of course Vue is not 3d studio max 6 admittedly however I doubt it cost as much either. Try it you might be surprise or not.

Ms Outlaw you deserve better than that especially if you put out the money for the Pro version. If this is a repeatable problem then it needs to be addressed and solved. I can tell you for sure that e-on is very committed to these updates and solving every problem that may arise. Renderosity is a good place to get some information however sometimes better results may come from Steve at e-on I know he would love to help solve this problem for you especially if it keeps happening. True for sure the Mac version of Vue4 pro does not seem to be up too speed as of yet. Walther is one of the few artists out there that is testing both I think. However I have yet to see many good answers for our poor Mac users as of this point in time. I know this problem is being addressed by the beta testers and I am sure you will see a solution soon.
