Quote - at least: 4 core proc (but it'll still work with 2), 8 gigs ram (16 is better, but you really don't need it), a half decent retail grade gfx card (for OpenGL preview - Poser doesn't use it past that), Poser PRO 2012 and a 64 bit OS (Pro utilizes 64 bit).

Actually the more ram the better. I've watched my performance meter and have seen it go up to 24 gb at render time
my specs:
i7-3820 @3.6 GHz
32 GB ram
1 GB GeForce GTX 550 Ti
2 TB hdd
120 GB SSD
And yes , it rus like a thoroughbred.
Thread: Daz to Blender | Forum: Blender
There is Poser tools 2 for blender available at blender3dclub, but I'm not sure how far they've gotten along in getting the cr2 format into blender. It's been a while since I've played around with PT2, but it might be an option to get Poser/Daz stuff into Blender

Well suited for creating poses but they also have other resources available

Quote - You should be able to test using the Lite version in DS - I think, however, that it's not a question of the plugin's not working, but rather than most AniBlocks are made for V4/M4 and as a result may not work perfectly with Genesis (particularly the feet).
is there a quick fix available for the feet issue

Quote - Adamr001 also has a script to reset the translations on the DAZ forums - that's better than reset as you don't lose rotations into the bargain.
If possible, a link please

I put this one together last weekend:
Asus P9X79 Deluxe Motherboard
Intel i7 3820
GTX 550Ti
32 Gb ram
120 Gb SSD (for SSD Caching)
1 TB Hard drive (for the OS and Apps)
So far I got all the Daz stuff installed, and I'll be installing all my poser stuff this weekend.
First impression?!..... this thing is smoken hot, especially with Carrara Pro. Render times for the most part is cut almost in half conpared to what I'm used to, and my old computer was no slouch. But I'm happey with this build. All for about 1200 bucks

What works for me is to export the object as obj and then re-import the obj. all should become zero as far as scale and rotations go

Quote - Hi, try this setup in glow channel. The red color is the real glow color and the black will fade out the effect based in the value slider.
You cna use a image map to glow only area that you want.
Could you show a screen-shot of how that would be set up with an image map, thanx

I paid $1495 at Staples. I got it for the 3Gb Nvidia graphics card. beats my desktop all day long

My laptop is similar in specs, and I've encountered no problems. As for the runtimes...if the runtime is in the poser install directory, and your working with poser 5,6 or 7 the you can zip up the entire program and move it over to your laptop. Poser 8 and and up needs to be re- installed. At least that's the way it worked for me, but I'm no expert.
