Hi FireMonkey,
Now that I can see the whole picture, I like your pants model. Definently an interesting poly flow, especially around the knees and butt. Have you set the pants up as a conforming figure? I was curious as to how they bend and move. BTW, great job using Wings. I get lost in there, but yet I find Hexagon and Silo easy to use- go figure. -Starkdog

Hi Hyria,
You mentioned in your first post that Poser4 keeps crashing. I think that 4.03 was the latest service update for Poser4, which enabled more ram utilization. I remember hearing people madly raving about Poser 4 crashing on them, but Poser 5 and 6 work fine. I'd definently check to see what version of Poser 4 you are using. As an aside, please invest in a portable HD, just in case you have to do a massive re-install. It will make things easier to re-install. I hope this helps? -Starkdog

Cool,
I was able to download Ben's face morphs earlier with the new link. I'll have to try these morphs for Katie. Thanks, -Starkdog

Firemonkey,
In regards to the mesh you posted, is that the rough mesh, or is it the subdivided mesh? In any case, you might want to simplify the poly flow, getting rid of the n-gons. So far, the pants look good; I can't wait to see the final product. -Starkdog

Hey Mizrael,
Your link isn't working, Firefox gives me errors. Anyways, I like the pic of the morphs, and can't wait to try them out on Ben. I'm SLOWLYYYYYYYY making some morphs for Katie, adding some curves to make her look more feminine. Since Katie isn't in the pipeline for the G2 conversion, I might re-bone, re-cut, and enhance her ala Jim Burton© style. -Starkdog
Thread: To all the publishers for GND; what is in the works? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I too, am working on a few goodies for both Irina and GND2. I have been working 50-60 hrs/week at work lately, so that will slow things down a bit. I hope to have several hybrid items, as well as conforming and dynamic stuff out too. -Starkdog

Holy COw!!!!!
This looks really cool. In the last pic, I really like the "mottled" effect of the capillaries. Can you try to add in a vein effect pattern? Thanks, -Starkdog

Hi Cedarwolf,
SP3 and Aiko3 are both the same height (too close), and can wear SOME of the same clothing. However, depending on morphs and rigging, things might fit strangely. -Starkdog

WOW!! The fucking nerve of some of you to put words into my mouth! I AM IN NO WAY TRYING TO RIP OFF TRAVELLER NOR RDNA!!! I couldn't remember who had originally made these ( I was thinking Colm or Sydd), and was posing a question as a possible scenario in which I did not want to happen.
In order to get a satin shader, you plug the clay shader node into the Alt diffuse, and tweak colors and settings. Obviously, Traveller has already done this. Now, say if I was to make a satin shader using the clay node plugged into the Alt diffuse, and had used different color and dial settings from the RDNA collection. Since there would be some similarities in shaders, this brings up the issue of derivatives. I'm working on stuff that I plan to sell, and am doing so LEGALLY in order to avoid a ByteMeOk or DarkWingZero situation.
Upon re-reading the readme, I misinterpreted RDNA's statements in the readme file; and for that, I apologize to Traveller and RDNA. Yes, I should have contacted Traveller, and will do so shortly. As for the rest of you, put down the pitch-forks and torches. Mods, please lock this thread. -Starkdog

Ding ding ding!!! Mizreal and Gora hit the jackpot. I think that I might patent water and copyright the chemical structure of H20! Boy, aren't Dasani, Evian, Perrier, and Aquafina gonna love me??? -Starkdog

Rogerant,
I think that I kinda understand what you are trying to do. What I would do, is to texture the dynamic swimsuit by how you would like to group it, i.e: hip, chest, lCollar, rCollar, etc in different colors. Next, clothify the swimsuit to however you pose the figure. Export the mesh from Poser, and import into Hexagon or whatever modeler you choose. Then, divide the mesh by the appropriate group, and save the respective groups as: chest_breast5.obj, lCollar_armoverhead.obj.
Next, take the original swimsuit.obj, and group it how you want it to conform. Using QuickConform, or Poser's Setup room, create the cr2 for the swimsuit. Next, click on the appropriate body parts, and load each morph target you made earlier. I can't seem to find it, but there is a great tutorial on loading altered geometry as morphs, and creating a partial and full body morph. I hope this helps, -Starkdog
Thread: OT: - Starkdog's heart problems | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Whoa!!! I am finally back in my apartment, and doing laundry, cooking, and cleaning. I am taking it slow, as I don't want to hurt myself, but I am healing quite well, and just have a minor ache where they went in. I thank you all once again for the many "get-wells"- this is why I like this community- we look out for each other. I have been up most of the night getting my Poser and Hexagon fix- ahhh it's good to be back in the saddle. I have SO MANY ideas, I don't know where to start. I do, however, have a few things in the works for Farris, and the Poser6 kids. Which reminds me, are the kids getting revamped too, like Jessi, James, Koji, and Miki? -Starkdog
