I must still be paying dues. I have images with 150 views and images with just over 10. The trick is marketing to a big enough crowd. Some of my "least popular" work was posted at peak visiting hours. It is all in the thumbnail. Not only do you have to create a piece of art to post, you have to create yet another piece of art so that people will want to see the original.

Now make them all semi-transparent! With soft shadows! Turn everything on! THAT will put a load on your computer. Don't forget a volumetric atmosphere! I had a simple scene with a volumetric atmos and it took a week for an 800x600 render.

If you have enough ram to run XP you should have plenty for PS4. My immediate thought was running it in a different compatability mode but I see you have that covered. That's a very interesting problem.

When I go from Super to Regular the ray number box fades out and shows 1. That is usually on of the only things I change. 6 on the Ray depth is usually where I keep it.

Of course transparency causes long render times, but what I should have added is I can also make it take a really long time to render a primitive just by starting Bryce in a high render setting and then lowering it(that's how it seems to work, anyway). I can get pretty decent times if I start with low render settings but it is starting with high settings and going down that gives me problems.

I would go with a mac. One of my friends has a mac with a gig fo ram, G5 processor, and 2 hd's in raid 0 totalling 500 gb. It is extremely fast. Plus, if you like music it can output independent signals to 3 separate speaker systems. If I could afford a nice mac I would get one in a heartbeat.

A quick Froogle shows this is indeed an excellent price with the average being over the $800.
