Hi all- yes AVG AntiVirus ROCKS- with free unlimited update- the price is right- lol I've one for you about the Klez virus H. A friend of mine, who is on a cable connection(allways on) is walking from here, in michigan to the "Burning Man Festival". The putz left his comp on and its infected now- He keeps sending me about three times a day that damn virus. It's a good thing my isp filters.

try setting the systems clock on you computer to todays date, it has to accurate., or the pictures won't show up. The date can be a past date but not a future date. today is June 4 2002 Just double click the time down on your control panel.

Post work can't be done very well with scenes made for animation. You may have hundreds or thousands of pic's to work. But, stills- hell yes post work. Postwork- or prework, whats the differance. If textures are made in PS or PSP. Thats not Poser. What is the differance weather it's added before or after you hit the button to render- Use the strengths of whatever programs you like, I say. Nothings perfect- neither poser, bryce or any other software.

It's funny you brought this up cause I've been pestering my friends in the chat room for weeks if they knew of any sites like Renderosity but for writers. Just so I could do a contest cycle like the one described.

Hi Poppi from all of us Ken's (LOL) I've been wondering about a writers forum also. I can see all kinds of ways for cross discipline contest. Imagine someone makes a picture. Post a writers contest, with various prizes to tell a story from the picture. The winners story go back to the artist groups as another contest to illustrate some scenes from the story. Your 100 precent correct Ajax on all post in this thread- the only problem with that meathod is you first have to have your lighting correct which I can't do untill Im half way through the project. If the lightings off on one set of figures or props then differant on another it really shows. And I'm not that good yet to pre-plan my pics that much. hell, I never know what the finale pic will be! lol Oh, and you loose the interactive shadows that can make a big differance. As you can see Yunas, there are many different way to go about this- just relax and do what seems right for you and your pic :)
Thread: Imported background pictures question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
yes, what ajax said- but, (there allways is one isn't there) Poser just plane sucks at background pictures. They allways look pixilated. One thing you can do is to put it on a flat plane primative and scale it up to fit your pic. It really helps make it better, or you can use layers in your favorite paint program and add it later. I sometimes add the background pick just for referance then after its done use a layer to re-add the background just to remove the blockyness.

There a several free ones available at many freeware sites around the net. Besides, file management and file types are a necessary evil for 3d software users that all newby's MUST learn. Another point is cross platform compatibality. you'd have to make two differant file for each machine type, which would clutter the free section even more. The final point that I would make is you get access to many models without the work. I takes you ten minutes to create a selfextractor and the "favore" you ask may take days or even weeks to create. Not a good cost benifit ratio.

The only thing that is to easy is to make a nude look plastic. There is a skill involved to make a 3D model look real. Dolphin- I've been going through an "Idea Free Zone" myself and it sucks. I use NENE myself- It's one of my favorite characters :)
