I have been following this thread and find the work here fascinating. Just thought I would make a passing comment. I did a test render late last night using the Razored Moffitt hair from Daz on a character I was messing around with on an older V3 texture set I own. Didn't turn out like I expected. But for this thread people might like to know, I took one look at my character after it rendered and yelled, Oh my Gawd, it's Bob Keeshen! Just needed a mustache and some bushy eyebrows and it would have been near perfect. You might have to be as old as dirt like me to appreciate the likeness. But if anybody on this thread wants to do Captain Kangeroo, that hair is close to perfect.

The biggest offending folder of duplicate file names that artists and vendors need to note in my humble opinion (my read me's are coupled to a filemaker database I designed with the store image and all kinds of search terms, that someday hopefully will become a freebee it's self and the readme's are stored outside my runtime) is files named chrome.jpg, gold.jpg or silver.jpg in either the relfection maps folder or the materials folder. with no other sub folder. Yet they created sub folders for their textures. I hate to say it but I have a list of artists or vendors, whose products I try to stay away from, beacause of repetivie file path, folder and file naming issues that required correcting. People are human and make mistakes. But when 3 products by the same artist had be corrected,,, What drives me crazy is that two other resellers know of products in there stores that have major problems, missing textures, missing morphs, etc. Yet the products have not been removed or the info page changed to reflect the fact that claimed morphs are not in the cloth or fixed in many many months.

Hint, hint, plead, beg, bribe, grovel, whatever it takes...I know not the right forum...but it would be nice if the pro verison was ported to OSX. Hint, hint, plead, beg, bribe, grovel Yes there is a certain personal satisfation of looking a bunch of pixels and going cool, I figured that out, conquered that problem, never thought I would be able to do that, look what I just made! Nice Vase BTW, I really like the flower one the best.

I've only been doing this since mid-December, and I have yelled screamed and cussed at V3, called her a freaking B, more then once. Then when she behaves, doesn't jump around, poses easily, etc, etc...I caught my self saying out loud last week, "you've been so nice today, if I could take you out to dinner tonight, you know I would!" Geesh, shes worse then having a pet dog or cat!

Speaking of tools, one would have to assume you could use XD and then inject morphs using one of the neterworks packages (if they have one for your target figure). I have not used XD yet, but I read where the morphs get lost or don't make it across. This would be could be a solution if I understand the processes at hand.

Thread: Im simple...Whats EXP???? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Forget all the install issues and so forth. Where Daz screwed up is they should have released a half dozen different products right after 4.1 came out that were different then a muscle pack that some people might not use. If these other items showed off the technology of what EXP is all about and were more useable in everyday situations, people might be singing the praises of EXP vs bashing it. They might understand it better and sing the praises of it vs bashing it. But to release a product and just le it sit there unused waiting for some artist to develope a product that uses this new technology was a huge marketing blunder. It would be like Ford releasing a new bio fuel car, and then waiting for somebody to make the bio fuel. A online Music store releasing a new and better music file system and no player to use it on. So everybody has figured out how to get the 4.1 exp character loaded and then a big black hole with nothing to sell people on this new technology. That was not smart.

Thread: Newbie with perhaps idiotic question! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
How many versions of Poser do you have installed. On a Mac the installer looks to the first one it can find. In my case that is Poser 6, but I mainly use Poser 7. So if you use the installer it could end up in the wrong runtime without you knowing it. I assume the same behavior occurs on a PC. That is why I manually insall everything. Partly because the installer puts things where I don't want them. Also because I have several different runtimes. and in those run times I break things down like for example clothes-casual, clothes-victorian, clothes-office, clothes-evening, etc.

Thread: Poser7-SR1.1 has been posted... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Well, I'm about 90% happy with SR1.1, but I noticed on my system that the DELETE function is broke again. It worked well enough under P7 SR1 but now it;s back to freezing the system again when you try to delete anything. Anyone else notice this?

Works fine for me. I am on a mac PPC
Everything seems to load a ton faster. Shoot I used to wait just to create a new blank doc. Not any more. Like the fact that two items that loaded as black in preview problem is gone. Granted I have only been doing this for about 100 days. But sometimes P7 would collapse right at the end of a render using firefly. Did a bunch of reference renders of my inventory and it was quick and no problems at all. (so far). One big file with both M3 and V3, walls, tables, a couch, standing lamp, rocking chair, used to take ages to render using IBL. Now it is reasonable to my expectations.

Guess I am too new to the poser game to have considered the V3 male pack as the solution.. Thanks for the suggestion. Now to see how bad I can butcher things up.
SoCalRoberta, yes they are very close and thanks for the product suggestions. I searched the store here and elsewhere using brother, sister, cousin, relative, related, cousin. I never would have found these if it wasn't for your help. Thanks a ton.
Thanks to all who have replied so far.
