It's called d33d speak (dude) I know that the type of language is used heavily in online games like Everquest, DAoC, and UO, though I am not sure which started the trend. I do remember back in the old Commodore 64 days the terminology was used then too, though it was different in a lot of ways. I think it just comes down to what was already said, the people who use the terms think it sounds cool. I, for one am thrilled about d33d speak, because I know exactly who to avoid once I see it being used ;) JDexter
Thread: w00-h00 - Carrara here I come! | Forum: Carrara
My suggestion Penguin is to work on one modeller at a time. I started with the vertex modeller, went to spline and then went to metaball (which I still need to work on a lot!) Anyway, the biggest challenge I have found is the shaders, they are very complex, but when you get the hang of them, they are very powerful too. I think you will really like Carrera, my only real beef so far is the 3D boolean, it annoys me to no end the mess I get sometimes when I use that function. The render engine seems really good too. Maybe you should pull it out and we should try setting it together, I can't imagine they would have upgraded it enough with such a minor model change, I am getting no dots at all, and I agree, I really expected to see that from an HP (remember when HP was THE printer? ;) ) I was really impressed with the output and I took a looking glass to it too because I was suprised. Still wish I could have afforded the Big-guy Epson. /sigh But I am also happy with this one. JDexter

I wonder if the 1220 is an upgrade to the 1200C? The output is amazing from it. My big wish list was for an Epson wide ink printer, but the one I wanted was just at 1K in price and I couldn't go there (maybe next xmas) I used printed the same render on the Kodak High gloss, soft-gloss and the matte and the glossy is the best. The matte is good too, but the colors are just too muted. JDexter

Cool, Thanks MadYuri, I will go right there! (BTW, I fooled around with the setting and use the phot-matte paper and it was amazing the output I got, talk about inspiration to do more!)

I think the top 2 look great they way they are and can be used for different purposes in each case. Of the bottom 2, they look great too and also could be used in a different circumstance from the top ones. The only thing is, I am not seeing a difference between the 2 bottom ones. Is my monitor not picking it up or am I blind? What kind of character did you have in mind for these to go on? JDexter

I have had this exact same problem with Mike's country/western jackets when I bend the arm to a certain point. Still haven't figured out that one. =(
