Whatever your view I hope we can all agree that at least the new poser owners have a positive view and attitude and that is also very refreshing :)

Maybe, at 81, I count as an antique?
No, I definitely prefer vintage . . . and you're not that much older than me. ~sheesh, I'm NOT the oldest on this forum~

Daz isn't the best per say in the modeling department. They have alot of very talented artists and they bought a lot of stuff from them too or are brokering. Their marketing is of the chain I have to say.
There are and were a lot of talented modelers here, that created great alternatives to the Daz human models. But most people are afraid to try something new and support the artist( Antonia for instance). Support takes time and people. In stead of complaining we could've made a lof of stuff for those models. I'm always down to help people and support lesser supported models.

Just like aforementioned, every company make their own decisions that fit their pipeline. As much as I dislike LA femme and lhomme at least bondware tries to come up with something.
I work in Daz studio too and I have been a poser user since poser 1. More than 25 years ago. I was still a kid when version one came on the market. However if you don't like what you get, you can always try to create something you like. If you can't, try finding someone who does it for you. My absolute favorite figure is abandoned like the plague. (kez) But I will make stuff for her just for my own needs. You don't hear me complain. I agree on poser 11 and 12 but that is what we got and we have to deal with it.

Thread: Hello my girlfriend has those weird pixels | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Thread: Why only Daz studio for content creators | Forum: DAZ|Studio
That is a very good question. I have been using both programs for years. While i feel that daz studio improved and went further, Poser came to a standstill. Like the comment above, it is much easier to create for studio than it is for poser. Studio has also content creation tools, it is less work. Oftentimes you can import scenery into Poser but you have to correct the shading etc.
Poser has a lot of content but also a lot of it is outdated. They released la femme and l'homme. I personally really dislike those models, strange gaze and also a strange form. In the end they are just polygons and they can be altered. I can create the same morph for genesis in less time because it fits better in my workflow.

Professioneel ongv 10 jaar. En semi prof een jaar of 15.
Thread: When will Poser have good models outside human figures? | Forum: Poser 12
I think that has had to do with the Scarlett fiasco/deal. Unfortunately Rebekah and les were always very helpful.

Thread: testing skin options/shader | Forum: Poser 12
yes, but i need a good rougness map, the thing is i made a dummy. La femme's skin is not so suitable for bpr rendering. I will make my own but that takes some time.

The problem is. you have probably used the burley SSS. a better SSS version is the randomn walk SSS. Try this and you will see that it disappears.
