Actually, Im digging this now...It took me ages...but I found out something...if the reference in a mat referes to a jpg file as a bump map, p4 will use it without asking for a bum conversion first...the results arent preety though.

I have had this problem too, ran CorrectReference and still got the darn message asking for a *.bum file. Either I didnt use it correctly or I dont know. Im converting these files by way of p4...Its a pain, but then again, what isnt?

Hi Sharen, no...like a tv or computer screen, while its on, I do it all the time in Max, its easy...but Poser was iluding me...thanks bloodsong, Ill try your sugestion...cheers to both of you.

Hello! I have that problem also, and for what I know, the problem resides in the way Win98 deals with memory. As far as i know you can have 1 gig of memory and still have problems. It seems the only solution to this problem is tweaking the registry file of windows, or upgrade the OS.

Actually upon doing some experiments I noticed that this is irregular...for instance, I exported a figure from Poser that caused the msg upon importing it into Bryce...and another that didn't...actually a variation of the same figure...well, go figure...
