you could do that, its what I normally do, but then you'd have to remove the eyes from the poser figure entirely and then import the newly mapped eyes and stick them in his head. The old eyes wont use the new template. I usually just dump the poser eyes entirely and toss some eyes I made in max into his head, there are eyes all over the internet you can use. For good close ups, map the eyes so that the eyewhite, iris, and pupil fill the whole map, and then make a 1000x1000 texture using that template and apply it to each eye. For ease of use, I usually assign all three of them to one material named eyes. Another method is import the whole mesh, remap the eyes to fill the whole screen over the rest of the texture coordinates, and then use a seperate map for the eyes than you are using for the rest of the figure. Then save your newly mapped obj in the geometry folder and point your cr2 file at the geometry so your figure will use the new eyes every time you pull him from the library.

If you notice Ron's tutorial, the transparency has strangly been left out of the eyebrows. Apply the same transparency map to it you applied to everything else. If they dissappear entirely, cut and paste the transparency your using fo the upper eybrows on the eyebrows section as well.

that white smears part let me know exactly what you are doing wrong. But rather than type out a long explanation, go here :) http://205.122.23.229/ronknights/victoria/index.htmThread: My Camera and Lihjting controlls have disapear-Please Help | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
change the resolution to the higher one, click on the name of the controls and then drag the control back to where you would normally be able to see it at 800x600, then change your resolution back again.

copy the following folders to another location on your hard drive runtimegeometries runtimelibrary runtimetextures then uninstall poser after that, reinstall it and see if you have the same problem. If poser works again, delete the new copiesof the folders you saved and paste the ones you moved back into the runtime directory. You wont lose anything that way.

For your current system, I would recommend rendering composites. If you have 16 figures, try rendering several scenes with different figures and then using a paint program to merge them together into one image.

Thread: Victoria Skins 40+ Years? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
most 40 year old women i know dont have grey hair. try giving her black hair with grey highlights turned up high. Use a cloning tool to remove the wrinkles around the lips, and fill her cheekbones in some. Finally, add a little bit more color to her face, one so she doesnt look so pale, and two because it will better match the rest of her texturing. I think she looks a little older because her shape is a little older, not the texture. One thing you can do is , if you use photoshop, select the highlights in the picture and saturate them a little to add more color. She looks a little to skeletal to be middle aged. Dont mean to be critical, this is just what Im seeing here.

I have run both and havent really noticed any performance increases in Poser with one over the other. WindowsXP, which I am using now, has an overall better interface, but still has its share of bugs. I just dont like the way it dumbs everything down like we are all a bunch of idiots. And there is a lot of extra crap that you not only dont want or need, but actually wish was not there. Windows 2000 is a good operating system, but if you dont know quite a lot about computers then XP is probably a better choice for you. I havent had too many problems with it yet.

I feel your pain. My hard drive crapped out on me awhile back too. Problem is, most of what I lost can't be reinstalled :( Months and months of work, gone in an instant. Most software companies these days will let you send them your original CD and they will send you another one with a new serial number. I always keep my Serial Numbers in a safe place, but I have had to this with with a couple of games that had the CD-Key on the case ( I have a nasty habit of throwing away cases as soon as i get the cd ). Its a hassle but its the most guaranteed way. Just send them an email telling them your dilema and they should send you a link telling you where to go to get it fixed.

I think it was coming along quite well. Of course it isnt going to look like a finished product right away, is this the forst model you've tried to "poserize"? Normally you wont be able to get it right immediately. A good idea is to just keep at it and perfect your technique. Even if you never do get your rabbit exactly right, the practice will help you do that much better on your next project. Which tutorials have you looked at? I think your moving along quite nicely.

where did you model it? I would suggest divideing the mesh at the mouth and making it a grouped piece, that would allow you to to bone the mouth and then remake your open/close morphs. I dont have poser pro pack, so i cant bone it for you , sorry. Have you considered dividing the mesh up at the joints and then using the phi builder and joint editor instead? There are a lot more tutorials on this method, perhaps you will have more luck that way.
