Quote - I couldn´t be without PoseMagic by William_the_Bloody. It makes you able to fully pose your character from on place.

Yes, PoseMagic is, without a doubt, the plug-in I use most of all. Pretty much every scene I make uses PoseMagic. Not only does it give one one easy control for posing, it also gives you smart posing! If you want someone to twist to look behind them, normally, you'd have to twist all the parts one by one, but PoseMagic twists all the body parts for you and twists them pretty naturally as well.
You can also use it to tweak poses, even animated ones, without needing to add a new layer or to edit the actual pose/animation. I use it to fine tune imported BVH motions.
Poser Physics is another I use constantly.

There's several of them over at google 3d warehouse.
http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/search?q=xbox&styp=m&btnG=Search&reps=2
They will, of course, need to be converted to be usable in Poser. I simply downloaded the demo version of SketchUp Pro which gives you 8 hours you can use any time. I only use it for converting and have converted several hundred and still have almost four hours left.
There are some at TurboSquid as well. (http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/3d-model-of-console-gaming/372707)

I sometimes use the "transition from pose at end" option, but mostly, I just switch camera angles, "Memorize All" on the last frame then restore all at the first frame and start from there with a new scene. Also, as TrekkieGrrrl says, it's helpful to apply the walk to the Base Layer, not a new one. Adding layers adds a whole new level of problems! That is the most likely cause of them returning to start at the end of the walk cycle. I also use PoseMagic to pose them after the walk cycle. That way they still keep the end pose, but you jsut add on to it. **

Thread: Another really weird thing (P7), removing image node shoots polys into infinity | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yeah, but you get used to it. Don't even notice it anymore really. Well, except for some really bad one that fill the entire scene with them. But I just switch over to OpenGL and it goes away. BTW, did that it go awaay for you? Just curious if what you have is different than what I 'm talking about.

When that happens, for me anyway, it is usually just in the preview and only in the SreeD. Switching the view to OpenGL should make those infinite polys disappear. (Just in case: you can switch views from SreeD to OpenGL by right clicking anywhere in the scene.)

Quote - PS, noticed you used motions from the mocapdata.com website. Did you download them as BVH files and import? What was the process you used there?
Yep. Downloaded them as BVH. Then I start a new poser file and load only the figure I want to apply the BVH too. Then I find the frames I want to use and make an animated pose. Next, I remove all the frames and apply the new pose and then I tweak it and save the pose again. Then I open the scene which I want to use the pose and apply it to the figure. Finally, I use PoseMagic to do any final adjustments. Probablyh an easier way, but this is the way the works best for me. Next month I'm going to buy PhilC's BVH import help tools.
efstarlet, thanks for the info! I'll check it out!

Quote - Incredible!
I remember you. You had a featured animation on the old CP site. "The Shadow". Perhaps
the last featured animation there? Beyond well deserved! It's funny. At the beginning of The Shadow? It talks about the anthracite coal regions of
PA? I live in the anthracite coal region! LOL. :)
Yep. That was me. Thanks for remembering! Nice to know I've left an impression! Yeah, I really miss the old CP. Got a whole lot of views from that. Now I have to promote it the old fashioned way... ;)

Thanks everyone! It was a lot of work. and a lot of rendering time. My rendering computer had been going nonstop for more than two weeks to get this rendered!
All the male figures are Hiro Toon.

Thread: Getting Freak 4 clothing to fit in Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've had some luck converting the clothes to dynamic cloth and "growing" him into them. When that doesn't work, I use magnets to adjust it.

Oh, and if you don't already have something that lets you set up batch renders in Poser, get one. I use batchgen (http://poserutils.tripod.com/batchgen.html). It's only $5 and well worth it! This way you can set up a whole string of poser files to render out as frames and leave it while you live your life. :)

Thread: Creating movie in Poser questions - Lighting, Rendering, Animating Hair | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I make all my movies at 640x360 as that is standard YouTube size and looks good even enlarged. I also try to keep my render times down to a frame every minute or two. Once you get beyond that, it just takes too long to render out an animation. Keep in mind, 3 minutes of animation is 180 seconds at 30 frames a second equals 5,400 frames. That's 90 hours of render time at 1 frame a minute, if I did the math correctly.
I'm currently working on an animation that uses dynamic cloth, depth of field, motion blur, and a whole lot of reflective surfaces and that is taking way too long to render out! Sometime 10-15 minutes per frame.
If you want to make hair move without going into the hair room, you can buy hair with movement morphs; convert it to "cloth" and constrain part of it to the scalp; or use magnets to move the hair. I've used all three methods with decent results, just takes some practice.
You will be able to do other things while your computer is rendering. And if you have Pro7, I think you can even do other things in Poser. But remember, whatever you're doing will slow down the render process.

For me, it's a simple matter of wanting to keep all my animations in one spot. If I can embed YouTube videos there, I'd be interested, but it doesn't look like I can. If I'm wrong, let me know and I'll happily contribute.
