Being brave and being stupid can happen at the same time.

Sadly, people don't care anymore. They aren't brought up to care, they aren't encouraged to care, and if they care the wrong way they're getting sued. We live in a society with a lot of people but little compassion.
Quote - He said "I am the police!"
If this had been in the US and a security guard did that, he could have been charged with impersonating an officer of the law... Seems like all rent-a-cops are stupid and on power-trips.
Quote - I just knew that I couldn't stand there and watch a woman getting beaten up.
I had something written in response to that, but that's a whole can of worms I don't want to open publically on the forums.
Anyways without seeing all of it, I think that yes you did the right thing by trying to stop the security guard. If she was resisting him, he might have had a little ability to restrain her (not sure because Canada's laws might be different) but causing a dislocation is going too far unless that person is actively trying to hurt you.
RobynsVeil, it isn't cowardace that caused the people to stand by, it is apathy. We live in an age were people don't care, not an age where people are cowards. In the US we are barely teaching our kids to read and write (40% drop out rate in some areas), much less right and wrong. Now if we were a more libertarian society and taught to rely on ourselves and help our neighbors, then it would be a case of cowardace. However we live in a society that's becoming socialist and basically when we see something wrong, it's someone else's problem; it's society's problem not ours.
In other words we aren't being taught to be the good samuritian, we are letting ourselves become a me-first society that doesn't want to deal with that guy on the road who needs help.

Thread: weird render result | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It's weird, it's almost like there is there as a colored noise material node that has been plugged in to everything. Maybe you should double check your texture maps.

Quote - Corel Painter XI (Painter 11) is being worked on and a Soon release.
Is painter any good? I've kind of lost my faith with corel and new versions after PSP 10 was only a minor improvement over the previous versions.

Actually my problem is only partly resolved. It seems to be linked to a custom character I've been working on. I've only been saving her body morph with poser to the library and now when I reload that pose, all the problems come back. Looks like I'm going to have to read up on how to manually make a pose file for the morph...

It was Viki 4.2 and yes it was newer clothing and hair. I didn't used to have this problem, it's popped up in the last week or two.

Thread: (Semi) OT question: what makes an image sweet? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Geoegress, I think that in a traditional form of sweetness that I was aiming for as in "Ah, she looks like a nice, sweet girl" an emotional response definately helps.
Quote -
In the 60's-70's, you would use sweet to describe a girl who was innocent looking, probably conservatively dressed, nothing wild about their hair style, subtle makeup, a touch shy or even submissive acting. Body pose, hand pose, face expression, and especially the eyes can create the sweet image.
grichter, I tend to agree that such would be a reasonable answer, but in the modern day and age, how much would we be allowed to deviate from that and still express the same type of emotion. I mean has the nice type of sweetness taken a radical change like the rest of society in the past 50 years or is it more or less unchanged? I've been trying to do a render to illustrate however poser has been giving me troubles tonight.

Actaully it was a pretty sugary image overall and that version of sweet was the more appropriate one.

Thread: Why does the sword deform when I parent to the hand? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've seen this once myself. Tell me, is the sword you used a figure? If the sword is a figure and not a prop, that means someone screwed up the rigging.

It's like the others have said... the last time they put her on sale, they specifically mentioned on the item page that they were only going to sell her for 2 weeks. So you either need to keep your eyes open or get in touch with them and hope they sell. :|
