Thread: Poser 5 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Speaking of DAZ and Poser 5, has anyone else noticed this from DAZ's FAQ? I'm looking forward to DAZ created products for Poser 5 plus Victoria 3 products are now listed as coming soon. Does DAZ support Poser5 and Poser5 specific products? Yes. Due to the changes that Curiouslabs, Inc. made to the Poser 5 End User License Agreement (EULA), DAZ is now happy to support Poser5 and product developed specificly for use within Poser5.

Rena, I, too, read the PWFW texture statement as a slight against your work--whether intentional or not. As a subscriber to the site, I will really miss your work. I absolutely loved the Saloon Girl set. American English is my first language and it seems to me the most accurate way to post the statement to the page is as follows: Textures by Vikki Dawson (Textures posted prior to October 2002 created by Renapd [or your name--your preference should be used]) If any of your textures were posted in October than to could be changed to through. The current wording seems to indicate that the administrators of PWFW do not want to give you recognition for your copyrighted work. Renewal of my subscription will definitely depend on the quality of Vikki's textures. She has really big shoes to fill.
Thread: DAZ Mouse needs tail morphs--can anyone help? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
That just show I've been downloading too much stuff lately. I have all the packs installed but hadn't nosed through them yet. I still need a short, naked tail for the hamster.
Thread: Poser 5 with Patch - Works Well! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I installed the utility only upgrade on my P5 crashed completely. I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling just to get the original P4 to work. Upon executing the Poser 5 file, my screen went black and I got this Windows error: Error: 0E: 018F: BFF6C172 When I hit Ctrl,Alt,Del to restart, I got a second error: Error: OE: 0028: C002F972 Had to turn the PC off and try again. I'm running WindowsME (against my will). Has anyone else had this problem? I e-mailed the bugs section listed in the update info. Meanwhile, I'll dream about well-rendered fire fly hair.

Thread: Poser 5 error | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I contacted Curious Labs' tech support about this error. They stated that one reason the XML parse errors occur is if you have a library containing one of the following in the name: quote (") apostrophe (') ampersand (&) less than (<) greater than (>) and possibly... back slash () and slash (/). Their recommended workaround is to 1. Open the LibraryPrefs.xml file in notepad, remove the offending character from the fodler name, is, SM and save out the change. 2. Go to(sic) the Runtime>Libraries>Character folder and remove the offending character from the folder named there too. I sent an e-mail to PFWF (Poser World/Fairy World) regarding this matter since their file names for new stuff usual start with an odd character. Wonder how long it will take for the first Poser 5 patch file?

Don't be afraid to call DAZ customer service, either. I've had no many PC snafu's that I'm on a first-name basis with Reba. No matter how weird the problem, DAZ's excellent customer service has ALWAYS come through.
Thread: Three Poser Problems | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Problem #1: Another way to get your pictures to show up is to render the garment (on or off a body-your choice) in another window with dimensions 100 pixels x 100 pixels and save as a .png file. The name of the .png will have to be EXACTLY the same as the pose file. You need to save the .png to the same file as your MAT pose file. (i.e., Program Files/Curious Labs/Poser4/Libraries/pose/"name here". Overwrite the .png file, if any, which already exists under that name. I hope this helps.

Go to DAZ's FAQ/Update page. It's listed BEFORE you enter the store. There is an update for the San Francisco Hair dated 6/21/02.
