Thread: animated GIF's | Forum: Carrara
Yeah, I just found that out last Sunday. It seems real strange for a program to allow you to save in a file format you can't view. I saved my animation as a AVI file and then converted it to a GIF in Jasc Animation Shop 2 where I edited it. Keith
Thread: New Character - Demon - Sneak peek.. | Forum: Carrara
Clint, I understood the naming part. What I was getting at is, do you split the figure into seperate meshes that are then exported as a group.

Clint, In your "Figure creation (information)" What do you mean by "Split the mesh up into body parts and name them". Thanks Keith
Thread: Converting from Spline Modeller to Vertex Modeller | Forum: Carrara
Thats what I do. I usually duplicate the spline model first before I convert it. That way I can go back to the spline model if the conversion doesn't work out the way I thought it should. Also if you are going to save your model as an OBJ file you can see what the mesh will look like if you convert to a vertex model first. Keith
Thread: CARRARA: Replicating In A Circle Using The Vertex Model Room- How To???? | Forum: Carrara
I'm also having a problem using the replicate in a circle command. It seems to replicate the objects on top of each other. I have no trouble with the linear and array replication, but the circle replication has me baffled.
Thread: Amorphium and Carrara | Forum: Carrara
I would like to see an Amorphium forum. I use Amorphium as a tool to modify meshes created in Carrara and vice versa. It has a lot of potential. Keith

Thread: How Do I Rotate A Sphere 360 Degrees? | Forum: Carrara
Nemisis, I'm not sure what you mean? You can set the number of rotations per second. If you set the rotatations per second to .25 and the length of the animation to 4 seconds your planet will make one complete rotation during the 4 second animation. If the cycles per second are a positive number the planet will rotate clockwise. a negative number will rotate it counterclockwise Keith

Thread: Is it Carrara or Raydream what I need ? | Forum: Carrara
If I were you I would buy Carrara. After MetaCreations completes the sale of Carrara to Adobe RayDream will be an orphan with out any manufacturers support or any upgrade path. Also Carrara renderer is fantastic.

Thread: Render top, left...?? | Forum: Carrara
october: No, I'm on a PC using Windows 98. Maybe this will help you. Carrara will only render a view from a camera. Therefore to do what you want to do you must set a camera to one of the preset views(top, left, etc.) To do this one of your view windows must display a view from a camera. then you can change that camera's view by selecting one of the preset views.
