Nope! Well not that I know of. You are kinda asking the software to be telepathic as to what you want your mouse click to do. However, if you use the Hierarchy window (thanks for the spellcheck PhilC), it's very easy to toggle the invisibility and you can keep this window open while you work on the scene.

Selecting the part from these menus isn't any good when you are trying to pose a character using the mouse. As soon as you try to move, say, the leg, you end up selecting the trousers. If that's what you are trying to do, then you need to make the other parts invisible while posing.

Make the clothes invisible while posing. Unfortunately, this solution is embarrasing if someone (like the wife) looks over your shoulder while you are working! I find the Hierachy window good for toggling the invisiblity of objects rather than selecting each one individually and changing the properties.

I'm not really a modeller either, this is made entirely in Poser 5. It uses a lot of texture maps, transparancy maps and displacement maps, but the most useful tool of all was English Bob's morphing square which is available from his web site.... http://www.morphography.uk.vu/dlmagic.html

Well spotted c1rcle. This is so diffcult, it's a great idea to get other input. We need to recruit 'spot-the-difference' fanatics, do they have a forum?

I know I've said this before in another thread, but at the risk of boring regular readers... If you think it's a memory problem, try lowering the bucket size. Start at 4 and if that works try again adding 4 each time till you find what is best for your system.

Very good! Just the end of the nose needs tweaking, probably need a custom morph for that. (Oh and some hair! :0) )

No prob- hope it works. Try starting at 4 and if that works, keep adding 4 till you hit the problem and know the limit. I don't think bucket size affects the quality of the final image.

Have you tried reducing the bucket size? This will reduce the amount of memory Poser 5 tries to hog during rendering.

Well you asked, dunno if this counts as looking reasonably similar but it's my attempt at the Colin Baker incarnation..... http://www.posergallery.com/scripts/showimg.plx?Image=3295.jpg&title=Doctor+in+the+Vortex+P5&artist=Learner ..and my Tardis Console, made entirely within Poser 5... http://www.posergallery.com/scripts/showimg.plx?Image=3311.jpg&title=Console+Room&artist=Learner

Quote "The latest Digit Magazine says the first beta will be save disabled". This implies that later beta releases will have a save feature. Sounds to me as if DAZ want us to test the render interface first. Rather than try to do all things at once, they are going for a one step at a time approach. Going by the often hysterical reactions the users have given Curious Labs in this Forum, it appears DAZ is taking a more cautious approach.
