This is a screenshot of the new settings in the mat room and the new render of the blouse. As you can see, I still get those dark spots and there is no texture applied to that part of the model. I'm quite sure I did this change correctly but maybe you can see a difference between mine and Stefan's?

I created the planar map then tried to select only the sleeves but I can't. I can select by group (and there is no group that includes only the sleeves) or by material (again, the sleeves are part of the top material). I couldn't find a way to select manually other than by rectangle (which is no use for selecting the sleeves) and I didn't find a way to add something to a selection or take a part out of a selection.
Attached is a screenshot of the planar map with the selection "by material" applied. Maybe it will help you help me. ;o)

Thanks! And I use Poser 5. I just hated that shinyness on the bows so now I'll be able to fix it. I noticed when I did another model, that the ribbon at the waist was not shiny and looked like it was satin but I checked the material settings for the ribbon then for the bows and I couldn't figured out what was the difference... must have been the specular color then. ;o) When you say "split it" (the map), I guess that is in UVmapper... How do I do that? France

Hum... that's getting quite complicated for me. ;o) I tried creating a cylindrical map but I couldn't figure out how to texturize it. I'll try your suggestion though. I still have SO MUCH to learn! Oh and how do I turn down the shinyness of the bows? I wanted to do that but I couldn't find out how. Thanks! France

I will, thanks. I had tried the spherical map and the sleeves texture was stretched. That's why I tried planar this time. I'll check it now with spherical to see if it will be easy as planar or difficult as spherical to select the correct parts in PSP to create the texture. I'll let you know the result! France

Well I think I got it in the free section of Daz but it is Motsura Koshini princess dress (two parts, blouse and skirt). Then again, maybe I didn't get it from Daz. I bought and downloaded so many things for Poser that... ;o) France

I don't know who made the dress, it came from Daz. And it is not UVmapped. I used the UV mapper to create a texture map which looks exactly like other maps I've seen, but the dress won't accept it. I know I can color it with the paintbucket tool but I'd like to apply some texture to it, if possible. France

Thanks for asking! I use lots of your work and love it. I would like a fur coat and hat, with scarf and boots and gloves... for Judy, Don, Penny and Will. (this is for winter so you have lots of time... ;o) For the summer, I would like bathing suits (not bikinis but real nice bathing suits) for all 4 figures AND bath robe and sandal and maybe a large beach towel (as a prop, I suppose?) You could also (since this is a WISH list) create props like Sun Lotion bottle, beach ball, freesbie, etc., everything for the beach. Again, thanks for asking! France
