From our good friends at e-on, this is how you do it:
To recover .tmp tile files, please run Vue with the following command line option:
Vue 6 Infinite.exe -t"[PATH TO YOUR DIRECTORY HOLDING TMP FILES]"
for example, if your tmp files are in "c:/TmpFilesDir", you have to launch Vue with:
Vue 6 Infinite.exe -t"c:/TmpFilesDir/"
Make sure you have a trailing slash on the directory name or it will not work! It took me about five times to get it right.

I have Vista and Norton Internet Security and the only problem is that you had to download a new installer from Symantec. The one on the disc will not work with Vista.
What's sad is that the open source programs I use (7-Zip and OpenOffice) have no problem in Vista... it's when I tried to load up Illustrator CS2 that it crashed and burned.

Yeah... I have Vista on the rendering box. I turned off UAC so it wouldn't bother me anymore, but it was already set to run as administrator.
Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, so my guess is it is a "feature"... I mean bug ;)

I think it's a bug. It's happened on an image that was only about 1000x1000 and I left it running over night... after 9 hours it still said 100%.
This particular one was 1920x1200 with a standard atmosphere and standard illumination, took 38 minutes and sat there for an hour at 100%.

Quote - I discussed the problem when I had to go on tech support for Windows Live OneCare because it inexplicably stopped working. They denied having a record of the Photoshop/OneCare issue, but I could hear the support person talking away when I explained issue. I also told her I had read it on their forum other users had the same problem. Â
She had also told me is OneCare is uninstalled you can't relink it to it's backup for your computer archieve. Unfortunately they also have the file incripted so that it can't be erased. Not even the microsoft tech, taking control of my PC could do it.  I had the same problem when I had Vista uninstalled from my desktop PC. Then Microsoft tried to tell me it wasn't their software, but my external hard drives (it happened on 2 different drives). The only way to reclaim the space is to reformat your hard disc, which meant I had to remove all my other data from the drives then do a reformat :(.
This is why I don't use Live OneCare. It has caused a lot of problems for me on my XP boxes. :( Microsoft really needs to put a disclaimer on the backup software that comes with Live OneCare.
If you want to remove the backups without reformatting, I found this link for you: weblogs.asp.net/lduveau/archive/2007/07/19/delete-live-onecare-backup-folder-in-vista.aspx
If you are going to get rid of it, try a trial of BitDefender. I wouldn't recommend Norton AV, I have it on both my Vista boxes and it slows them down a lot.

My guess is that Vista also hashes the hardware of the computer that it is on. I can't find any option to deactivate and transfer the license. I suppose you could get away with putting it on another computer, just tell them that your laptop died when you call them to reactivate it.

I use xStream with Cinema... it's not that rare :)
You can export C4D files to 3D Studio max... I've never tried it but the option is there.

No, I didn't. This was a from a clean install... the only thing I did do was install the G2 super bundle, Miki 2, and Jessi 2 before the SR2 update.

This update forced me to reinstall Poser from scratch... somehow one of the XML files got corrupted and it doesn't say which one.
