They are masked and as I said above, all I do is open up the file, cut and then paste onto my picture. I use Corel Photopaint, but I suppose the others Paintshop, PSP etc. do the same. Have you tried it with anything specific and it didn't work?

LOL Steve, that's my face on the texture map! But the model's characteristics are altered a bit. I can't post it yet as I haven't got a site up and functional (maybe by 2K) but check your mail!

I can see what you mean Darth. You have a very valid point. Of course, I respect what MicoGames feels and would use their stuff accordingly. I think what you are trying to say is that you have every intention of mentioning everyone (something I always try to do) but there are times when we might overlook something. I, personally, keep forgetting to say that any model I make is exclusively Traveler morphed ;) It's just that when we DO forget someone, it's not intentional.

He's looking good Rena. And judging from the cheeks, he's had a few sugarplums too many ;) I agree about the beard, he will look rounder. But, how about making a thinner version with this beard as well so we can also have an honest to goodness Druid?

It's so simple that it took me a while to figure it out too! You go to the Display Menu, at the bottom and find "Guides" make sure "Ground Plane" is checked and then on to Materials in the Render menu. Here you just load your texture and voila! It was always there but unless you had the floor guide checked you couldn't see it. What I want to know is how I can render and still have the ground shadows show. Once I render those shadows disappear. What am I doing wrong NOW?

Maybe it's the age-old problem with Poser reading the templates upside down. Try inverting the texture vertically, save and apply. It should work ok.

Well Pan, I understand your not wanting to start a war but lemme just pour a little bit of gasoline on that little fire there you got. For the past two weeks I've done nothing but format, install windows, crash everyhing, do it again, and so on. Illegal functions are being performed all over the place. It's not just me, it's the guy at the store where I bought it, the friends who tried to help, everyone here is now certifiably commitable. I WANT A MAC, TOO. NOW. please.

I think one of the reasons many of us are not into animation yet is because we feel intimidated and the lack of tutorials is one reason. Another is because it's difficult to get the feedback that you would on a picture (since animations are a bit larger to dload) but your ideas sound great and I hope most can be implemented. Looking forward to this.

Thanks Chris, I did what I could with the lights and the finished image is up at the gallery.
Thread: Morph Roundup! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Jeff, I have the Poser3 sock morph that came with a figure and so I took the cr2 to morph manager and added it to a P4 nude but the toes still came out crinkly. I also have a couple of morphs called simply ltoe and rtoe but they have the same effect. Am I using the wrong ones or am I doing something wrong in the transfer?

Me too! Me too! For starters I would like a sock morph for the P4 woman and anything you could do with the conforming curls would be great! Thanks
Thread: creating textures | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well, the first thing you need is Steve Cox's UV mapper utility (in the Free Stuff). Then you load the obj file of the item of clothing you want from your geometries file (Poser 4 clothes-I think). When you save the map template make sure you flip it vertically first as Poser reads this instead and if you don't do it the texture won't show up correctly. For any items that have not been mapped you will have to create a new map but that involves other things that will be better explained to you if you go to Steve Cox's site with tutorials on the UV mapper. Good luck and remember: None of us here were born with all this knowledge so don't worry about asking.:-)
