Quote - I Changed lights 1 and 3 to Spot and left light 2 as infinite and changed all three lights to Ray Trace shadows. To see if I can fix the shadows.
I know have shadows and it seemed to have fixed M4 earsm which I don't see how it did that, but I am not complaining
Thank you

They are ears, which means they are thin, fleshy areas (figuratively speaking in this case, of course!). Light was essentially pouring through them. If they were real people, you'd have singed their ears right off with all that sunlight.

Quote - Yes, they are a bit insulated from their customers, there, aren't they? Seems weird to me: here and at all other marketplaces, you can just drop the vendor a line via sitemail. I'd probably try their Zendesk thingie. Let us know how you go.

No they are not. The first thing I did when I realized that these scripts were broken was to send a PM to the creator, whom I heard back from within a day. You can contact them through the forums, and it is absolutely no more difficult than it is here or anywhere else.

Don't know if it's directly related to your problem withnthevears, but you should have "Use displacement maps" checked in your render settings. I also think you need to work on understanding lighting a bit more. An infinite light is like a sun light, a light that illuminates the entire scene, and you have three of them. Probably why you have no shadows. With that much light, there are no shadowy areas.
Thread: Poser Pro 2012 (and P9?) Startup Screen | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You see Sheldon? Seriously? Actually, I do see the characteristics that are similar, now that you mention it and I'm looking for it, but I'm afraid that is a real stretch. And it certainly isn't on the screen long enough to freak anyone out. Sheldon himself is far more terrifying.

Thread: sss not work with transparencies? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If you only applied sss to the skin, then it would have nothing to do with the transparencies of the hair, as it wouldn't affect the hair texture at all.
Thread: Has anyone tried using the Genesis Characters? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think DAZ has already said there will be an exporter that will export most of the Genesis character to Poser, though honestly, I haven't been concerned enough to really keep up with the latest on this. I've just seen posts about it on DAZ.
Thread: Problems With Poser Pro 2012 Preview Windows ETC | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Odd. i have a four year old dual core 32-bit system with a measly four gigs of ram and nVidia GeForce 8600 GTS, and I'm having just a few seconds delay switching back to the preview window. And the preview itself is neither blocky nor a mess, it looks amazing. Apparently SM must have booby trapped PP2012 just to suck on noxiart's system.
:b_rolleyes:

Thread: OT: Why is it most NON MAYA/3D MAX renders of humans look like plastic? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I thought theOP was trollish when I first read it. I've seen Poser renders that looked very good, almost photorealistic, and it's mostly based on the quality of the texture or people who really put the work into achieving a high quality render. Besides, as already said, it's ridiculous to suggest that one should get the same results from a $300 program as you do from a $3000 one. But Poser can do far better than the OP has suggested.

Just wanted to say that I stumbled on this thread just now and I LOVE this UFO model. Thank you for being so generous to give it away for free!

Don't blame a perfectly good world for the few (insert expletive of choice here) that show up in it now and then. :)
