I always try posting in the forums first if there's an issue with a product so that they can forward the information to the vendor directly. Not sure if this is the first thing we should do or not, but its worked for me thus far. Make sure you installed the files correctly by checking the zip file(s)(i.e. the ones you downloaded for the product) to see if those files are contained within the zip. If they are, you did something wrong when you installed them or its possible the file structure in the zip wasn't set up properly by the vendor. If they're not in the zip file(check the ReadMe link on the product page to see what files are suppose to be in the zip file(s) ), then you need to report it either here or contact customer care as you did before.

Like I said, setting the color temp to zero allows you to make the light given off whatever color you want by eliminating the color temperature(not sure if this is the correct explanation, but it works). You can do the same thing with spotlights and such.

Thank you! If any more information is needed, I have the scene saved with all of the settings as they were.

" On top of the 916 pose control dials that make up the core of the product I'll be adding 458 dials to pair Left and Right together to speed up morphing for asymmetrical clothing , as well as numerous group dials to increase the efficiency of using this product for collision effects." That's a LOT for just the breasts alone, although I must admit that when it comes to putting tops on characters, females can be the most troublesome due to the breasts, regardless of their scale. Shirts, dresses, and some bikinis just want to incorrectly shrink-wrap around them.

This does have its good points and bad ones. If I'm in the Marketplace browsing through products, I like going to a selected product's page in a new tab. Nevertheless, just out of habit I end up right-clicking on a link and open a new tab so I don't have to reload the previous page if I'm trying to compare stuff on two different pages.

I haven't messed around lately with custom colored emissives, but if I recall correctly, I'm pretty sure you need to set the color temperature "K" to zero so it displays the proper color. Then the light color it gives off will be the specified emissive color instead of that dictated by the K-scale value. I had a hell of a time figuring it out a while back when I was trying to make greenish glowing uranium glass in the presence of UV light.

Thank you, that is good to know! I'll just leave it in the zip file and back it up with everything else in case I need it later. Most of the stuff I'll probably end up deleting off of this system anyway since I'm just checking to see that I install it correctly & that it works. I'm running out of room on this system & will be getting a new one with more storage & rendering power.

Agreed, but being that the vendors(for different software platforms) are purchasing those slots to advertise their products more broadly, it wouldn't make much sense. Plus it works both ways. Personally, it doesn't bother me, and I'm sure it doesn't bother the content makers just as long as their product ad is reaching their targeted software users. Now if Daz content ads were only being displayed in Poser content sections or vise-versa, then it would be a problem.

As a longtime buyer in both places I do have a suggestion to make: Put the stuff you buy here in a separate library from what you buy at DAZ. Most stuff here does not have smart content entries, and it's easier to sort it by folder than to create smart content. That and it makes it easier to track down when errors occur. That's true for any freebies you pick up also, never put them in the DAZ content library. DAZ allows you to use as many libraries as you want, take advantage of that.
There is a waiting period for initial purchase, I don't recall it being more than 24 hours either. It's more to avoid internet scam artists than anything else, once the account is established it isn't an issue and downloads are pretty quick after purchase, paypal sometimes holds them up for a couple of minutes.
You have as long as you want to download, pretty much as long as you own the account you can re-download anything. There isn't an automatic notification of updates the way there is with the DIM though, you have to go and check periodically to see if there were any changes.
This is my current dilemma: where to put the content and how to find it within Daz. I wasn't aware that we could have multiple libraries for non-DIM content. C:>Users>Public>Public Documents>My Daz3D Library I thought was suppose to be for DIM content only, and that Daz products we get here from Renderosity(or any other non-DIM content) goes into C:>Users>MyUserName>My Documents>Daz 3D>Studio>My Library To be honest, I would rather not have more than one library for my non-DIM content at this point in time. I really don't have enough content for this to be necessary.

Unfortunately, DIM only handles zip files available at DAZ3D. Those are properly compressed for DIM use. You are wasting your time trying to force DIM to recognize Renderosity based DS files. Your best bet is to open the compressed files and take a look at how the individual folders are set up. If you see several individual folders, i.e., data, people, etc, then those folders can be decompressed directly into your DAZ Library folder (either My DAZ 3D Library, which DIM prefers or My Library). If you find that the primary folder is called Content, then you will need to enter that folder and transfer the folders within to the aforementioned DAZ Library folders. Renderosity compressed files are not DIM ready as I mentioned before, you will need to manually transfer files into the library. Any files you encounter with a Content folder as a primary folder is incorrect and should never have been constructed that way. There is no Content folder in the DAZ library.
-So which is it? Perhaps I'm misunderstanding you. I was under the impression that ALL Daz content you get from Renderosity goes into the C:UsersMyNameDocumentsDAZ 3DStudioMy Library location, and that there's no either/or option. C:UsersPublicDocumentsMy DAZ 3D Library location from what I understand is for DIM content only and that you shouldn't install Renderosity content there? I don't know if the content creators ever corrected the zip files themselves, but there are products that still show Content as a primary folder in the ReadMe file on the product page.

Ok, thank you for the clarification! Now I just have to make a list of the products I want and see how much space I need for backups. =)
Thread: Stolen Credit Card Information | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
A "week or two" is a rather large window and not even a certainty; especially if you've made other purchases both online and offline with the card. After they steal your info, it could be 3 days or less when they use it, or it could be a month or longer. The first line of defense is to have international transactions disabled, because those thieve rings typically opt for accessing the money using stolen card clones directly at bank ATMs in foreign countries. Last year in my area there were a large number of people who had their credit/debit card info highjacked, most likely from one of the mini-market gas stations which seemed to be the common denominator. Anyway, they can lift your card info just from you walking past them, or when you make a transaction in the store while they're sitting right outside in the parking lot, if they have the necessary equipment & software.
