As you can see the grass waves in the breeze.
Id like the leaf movement in the tree to match the movement of the grass if that makes any sense.
As of right now the leaves are hand animated with a jittery ipo.

Thread: auto uv mapping | Forum: Blender
Hallo Halo,
;-) Im sorry I dont have a true fix for your current perdicament. The mapping in Blender is something Im still working on.
Im not sure what generator you used or Os youre on but NGPlant will auto-uv the plant made in it. Its controls are basically the same as Xfrog as well. If I could get NGP compiled on my linux box I might use it.
Theres also Tree From Curves script inย Blender.ย Its very nice once you get the hang of it and does mapping as well.

chuckle True. Kinda scary.
However as you can see in this image.

Space really is...bleak.
That image was from a distance of about 200 Km
A colleague of mine suggested it had less to do with the scale of the stellar distance and more with the exposure settings of the camera.

Thanks Tony.
About the stars. Im kinda curious about that. The comet is entering the solar system and Im wondering if stars would be visible at that ermmm range....?

Think Ill call the lighting on the comet done.
Ill do another test animation to make sure I like the the way the volume is working but for this scene I think just tracking the spot lamp to the camera will work well.

Thanks both of you.
Im aware of farsthays work and cant wait to see something outside of an experimental build. However there are no graphicall builds for linux after November from that trunk.
Halo: Thanks for looking into that. Im not sure however if the planes will get me the effect Im looking for. Im not looking for anything more scifi-ish (nebula clouds, soup o stars, etc.) than what I have already.
The tracking of the lamp to the camera seems to work....I think...Ill post again once I have a test animation set up.
Any advice as to a location where I can upload a test animation?
Thread: Straightening things up | Forum: Blender
Oh aye, deselect it...but that gives me the "cgae" and I find that hard to work with.
Control E...ok...Ill try that.
EDIT: Ah yes Edge Specials...I tried the Rotate Edge and that didnt really solve anything.
Thats okay guys, guess it doesnt really make a difference that the edge is curvy there. Appreciate the help all.

And building on Halos suggestion you might try diving into the Array Modifier.

OSP: chuckle It didnt work because it wasnt there. LOL Itchy posting finger.
Halo: Yah thats selected already. I guess I cant get the bezier control handles? I coulda sworn there was a way to get them in edit mode. Hrmmmm....
Ill try OSPs recommendation later today if I can get some free time.
Thread: V3 SAE obj import into Blender 2.42 RC 3 Off center? | Forum: Blender
Ill post the image of the V3 model once I have time to do more work on it.
And thanks OSP. :-)
Thread: V3 SAE obj import into Blender 2.42 RC 3 Off center? | Forum: Blender
Sorry it took so long to get back to this.
I double checked V3 after remembering older versions of her had some strange offsets in the translations dials. Well SAE inherited them. :-( So I zero those and she imported perfectly.
This isnt V3 but its a rough draft of the clothing Im making for her. Probably one of my more successfull modeling attempts. I think Im getting the hang of using Blender to model finally.
