Why raise it again? For the very reason Conniekat8 mentions - the classifications are far very limiting.
Also because many pics are accompanied by a 'no postwork' claim which is untrue and thus confusing to those not in the know.

Quote - Rendo is wrong, flat out, not to warn us
It's not as simple as that.
On the one hand common courtesy, and effective customer service, would suggest that they should post some kind of warning.
On the other hand, I have never come across a site that has done that. The attitude on the internet seems to be that users should protect themselves properly. My question would be whether anyone with appropriate secuity in place (which variesdepending upon the browser you use) has experienced any problems.
I have IE with all Active X components disabled and Firefox with NoScript and AdBlock plus; plus AVG running all of the time. I have never yet experienced any virus/trojan horse problems in Rosity.
As I recall, one of the early posters who was a victim to the trojan had turned off her AV software to dedicate more resources to a CPU intensive render. That should be a salutary lesson to us all!

That will be so cool, rather than having to edit it all by hand! So, when will it be ready for us to play with..... next weekend?

.. or if you must use IE, disable ActiveX
Personally, I prefer those browsers that comply with the Internet standards. in other words most alternatives to Internet Explorer - Firefox, Opera to name but 2.
And to reiterate, the 'virus' that started this thread is easy to remove as described above,a nd does not require draconian measures.

It was a pleasure, my friend, the least I could do after all of the effort you have put in!

I'm interested in knowing what internet security you had running on your PC before it became infected, as I'm about to do a re-evaluation of mine adn like to know what works and what doesnt work so well.
camtheman, whilst I think you're being a little harsh in some of your response, many thanks for mentioning Mamutu; I'd not come across it before and am now trialling it
Thread: Is there a Poser related magazine and a technical question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
There's 3D World, but that covers all 3D, not just Poser.
If you are looking for a good Poser related read, I'd recommend Denise Tyler's book called 'Practical Poser'. It's usually my first port of call, along with this forum, if I'm stuck.
My Poser 7 has been behaving erratically ever since I installed SR3; however, not everyone is having those same problems so I'm wondering if a Windows update at around the same time is the cause.

I hope you will install some AV/Â Spyware software if you are accepting files from other people on CD or USBÂ pen - your machine may never connect to the internet, but theirs might!
Otherwise, great specs - it will fly!

Thread: OT- Anyone using FireFox 3.0? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've been using FF for a long time - I love it, particularly with Adblock Plus and NoScript installed with it. FF3 seems not to have many big changes, just runs even smoother than before. Be aware that some sites only work with IE, so its handy to keep a copy on your PC
Thread: New PC : Poser 7 element selection is tediously slow. Please help | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I too have seen some slowness in the Pose window - but even worse, by a long way, is the length of time my PC takes to do anything in the Materials room.
I have P7 with SR3
Quad Core, ATI 4870, 4 Gig of RAM, Vista Ultimate 64 bit.
It's getting to the stage where making any changes in the materials room is just not worth it - shame, as with the new VSS, Poser was starting to create some really cool pics.
