I read this article. 3D world themselves said it was purposley a very strict test. The main criteria was that the scene had to be created from scratch in 45 minutes, excluding render time. The purpose of the test was to see if 3d app's between 100 and 500 could compete with the big boys, producing profesional results to a deadline. I suspect people more famillier with these 'low end' apps would get better results in the allotted time. Having said that, although the 3dWorld crew claim to be 'experienced' with truespace, I'm supprised they managed to produce such a P.O.S render!

I know you can't actually have 'sig's' at rendo, but in many forums, people put links to 'latest-work' and 'WIP' in the sig at the end of the message. I think this is a good idea, it encourages people to make relevent, positive posts, while still letting them advertise thier art. Hey, why can't we have 'sig's?(text only, of course).

The reason I mention KK is that he really was the 'face' of bryce at metacreations. Not only was he very active in the graphics community in general but he was responsible for designing the bryce interface. If he was to become involved with bryce again I think it would be more for artistic than commercial reasons. Weather or not he would be interested is another matter, as he seems to be deeply involved in his own projects. This as far as I can work out, is his 'web site'. http://www.byteburg.com/
