How's this.. definitely NOT the last one. lol I say either number two, or go back and reshoot the first one without the clouds in the background.

Why not post the artwork that you removed in the copyright forum, along with the background info. I'd be very interested in seeing what their view on it would be.
Also, oddly enough, my whole point in disaggreeing with Kort isn't based on the legal grounds at all. I have a problem with someone hacking the original artist's vision. Out of respect, I would not have altered the artwork by cropping it, and/or changing the colors.

If I remember correctly, Warhol WAS sued on more than one occaision.
Say an artist is out at dawn one morning and is walking by a statue in a park.... he notices a perspective of the statue that everyone misses or ignores... he gets into a good position, waits a few minutes for the sun to be just right..... <<<
I would challenge you to create your OWN statue, place it in any position you see fit, and take a picture of it. I would be much more impressed.

I've never heard them called torches before. It's fun to see the differences in language. My favorite is "being pissed"... drunk in Australia, or mad in USA.

Thread: SLR's - Manual Vs. Auto Mode | Forum: Photography
I shoot in 100% manual mode, because I get a lot better photos that way. Believe me, I'd rather just point and click and be done with it, but that just doesn't happen with me. There's always something changing, like a cloud passing by, which in turn kicks up some wind. Or I'm shooting a humming bird, and a hawk suddenly lands on a branch three feet away. The aperature and shutter speed priority modes don't work since I tend to change both depending on the circumstance. Sometimes I might sacrifice shutter speed for aperature, or vice versa.
Keep in mind that I'm pure amateur and I shoot nature stuff. I would think different styles would call for different approaches. If you're shooting indoor portraits for example, one of the portrait modes, or even one of the priority modes would work just fine.

The bottom one doesn't do anything for me. The top one is my pick as well, although I'd say it would be worth fixing the distracting reflection.

Wow. Now that's some big hail. What's even weirder is the fact it was mixed with some quarters.

Don't worry Kimmers, you made an excellent choice. Nikon has had their problems as well. Battery recalls for one. Also, do a search on BGLOD, and you'll see. BGLOD stands for "blinking green light of death" lol. The first batch of D70's would just stop, with a green light blinking on the screen. Nikon has fixed the known problems now, so all is good.
When my D70s gives out, I'll be looking at Canon very closely too.

Since gradient says the consumers tests the cameras, and Nikon has a bigger market share than Olympus, then Nikon uses more beta testers!... that has to be a positive thing.
oscilis, are you going to go DSLR? How much do you want to spend total? Hard to really hash out a recommendation without knowing what you think you'll get.

It's so close to the warranty date, its worth a call to Canon to see if you can send it in for free repair. I'd explain to them that you was hoping to upgrade sometime in the future, and this aggravation is making you think "Olympus" (wink wink).
Hopefully you can get it working yourself. Good luck!
