It indeed can as well be the graphic card memory that overflows. Try to switch off OpenGL and see what happens.

I am using an Asus N6600 PCI Express video card with 256mb of ram. On my scenes there are always a lot of objects imported from Cinema 4D and mixed ecosystems.

As you said its working slowly but its working. I guess I am asking for too much sometimes...

My recent works usually taking a long time to render (like 70-80 hours) Especially when I want to make it available as print. I have render 3000*4500 pixels.

I am using Athlon 64 3000+ with 2gb of ram. It is actually much more faster than my previous P4 2.40...

But I am planing to upgrade it to Athlon X2 3800+

Also I have 2 120mm one 90mm fans on the case. And I guess the system fan is the intake fan on the front of the case. Maximum rmps of these fans are 1400rpm for 120mm and 1800rpm for 90mm (it is a Thermaltake Tsunami Dream case). I am also checking the bios frequently, I got same degrees on PC Health Status.

I setup lights in Vue (also textures and final render) - I choosed Sky Dome preset first and added 13 directional light with very dark colour and soft shadows. Also a volumetric spot light for light beams. It is small but you can see on the second image... Never heard of Chung Kou - I might check this out... :) Thank you both for your kind words...

I am glad you enjoy this amazing program ! Vue 5 renders amazingly fast even in my Pentium 4 2.40... By the way your computer features a cutting edge technology this is also another reason of high performance ! ;)

Most of 3D Studio Max users using Vray plug-in for photorealistic render results. I don't have V-ray and I never experienced it. I'll keep using Vue D'esprit for my creations with following the tuttorials and guidances of the masters (like you guys) to get the top quality results one day.

Some problems appeared on me because of my graphics card. My Vue 4 doesn't work properely with my GeForce mx400 - I found its because of its driver. But Vue 4 Pro is working without any problem, I never try Vue 4 with my new GeForce fx5200. I'm currently using Windows XP Pro with Sp1 & Sp2. I don't have any problems with Vue 4 Pro now. But I cannot import a tree object I exported on Cinema 4D 8.2. I exported it as a 3ds object but Vue 4 pro can't import it (crashed).

Thats great - I really like to join the contest. When I submit my work I get a message about approving, but I don't get any confirming e-mail two days after from sending ?... Is my work rejected ?...
