Actually, as long as you don't "apply" the armature in the modifier tab within blender, you can transfer it from blender into poser as an .FBX and it can be then posed like any regular poser-specific model. the issue is the grouping-tool in poser. it adds those numbers to any bone and group, nullifying any possibility to use the symmetry option for the posing. furthermore, it seems not possible to rename existing groups... (is there any way to rename existing groups??)
i'm rendering still images, meaning i don't use frames, so i didn't encounter the problem you described.

does nobody have an idea how to solve or at least circumvent the problem?
i'm sure there are at least a handful of people who create and rig their models in blender and
transfer those into poser 11 pro o_O

i tried creating the same amount of bones on the other side with the same links and tried to use rigging symmetry on those, but to no avail.
i could really use some help here.

ok, thank you both for the help. i will probably contact smith micro then and ask if they can solve this issue somehow. using language packs would be a better solution to this compared to having the language locked to the serial number, but that's just my opinion there.

I will check out the particles 3+ for Poser, thanks. In terms of Blender: I do use it, but only for creating static / mechanical objects, so I'm rather inexperienced with Blender. I will still try to find some tutorials for that before bugging the community again :P I also use Mudbox for sculpting, but frankly I doubt it's going to have anything for particle creation as it's not a program used for scene-creation such as Poser or Blender (or Daz3D for that matter)

ok thank you, i will read the thread and i will also check out that über shader. since i'm fairly new to poser, i was assuming those buttons would work with the superfly shader and changing the shader manually whenever i add a reflection or refraction gets kinda annoying with time ^^'
i guess there is no easy way to set up the buttons, at least not without knowledge on how to program macros or something like that.

thanks ! :D i actually found out what's the cause of the problem. though i don't know how to fix it. as soon as i add the preset refraction of reflection nodes, on the right hand side in the material room, by using the buttons "add reflection" and "add refraction" it switches to firefly while also resetting my CPU core adjustments.

ok i've got my new pc back from the workshop, installed poser anew and tried again to get the fur to work. i increased the hair amount and size (tip-width 2, root width 4) and set it up as told. i also didn't put any texture onto the surface of the ball to ensure i'm not actually changing the options on the ball, but on the hair. it still doesn't work :(

i tried exactly as told, unfortunately it somehow doesn't work :( i tried different light setups but nothing really helped. any other ideas ?

ok that helped with the visibility of the pattern, though it's still a little dark. giving it a brighter diffuse color (like grey or the same color as the texture) makes it harder to see. changing the lights didn't do much either. is there anything else i can do to improve the brightness of the fur or do i have to modify the texture itself ?
