I was a little too enthusiast with fading out:
It did not solve the problem for low vision angles.
But at least it made me discover the reason for these patterns: they are holes in your terrain!
The terrain has clipped altitudes.
To compensate for that, you'll need to modify slightly the filter of the altitude function so that all values are within range.
Hope this will help :)

Hi Ryan,
As I wrote on registered users forum, from what I found, it comes from the 'Fading out' parameter of the water material.
Push the slider back to zero and the artefacts will disappear.
Push it to the right and they become even more visible...
at this depth anyway you probably don't need it.
It seems that there is an incompatibility with proc terrains and fading out.

Mazak's advice is certainly a good hint.
Anyway, if you must, for any reason keep your positions, in V6 you can still render objects that are far out provided you take care of reducing/suppressing haze/fog effects.
You can try loading the 'No atmosphere' from the Effects/other collection and see if changes the visibility.

Afterwards you apply the color image as a texture.
If you create a cleaner image in 2D you can have a perfect 3D without using an external 3D app :)

Hi Avalonia,
Certainly a screenshot showing initial scene and imported one with the terrain flattening problem could help :)
Procedural terrains appeared in Vue5 and were not available in Vue4 Esprit (nor Vue4Pro) so, I assume it is a typo ?
If not, if you added the procedural terrains in the imported scene from inside V5Infinite, you could try saving the Vue4 scene in V5Infinite before making any modifications to it. Then work on this new file.
Thread: New guy. How does one handle import scale for architectural work? | Forum: Vue
My 2cents here as I am not an architect, but my main modeling app is Rhino and I never use
.3ds meshing for export: I use Wavefront(.obj )
Additionnally Rhino produces a very clean UV map with .obj and you avoid the 65k poly limit
IMHO Vue handles .obj much better than other formats.
(Rhino offers over 20 export options among which .lwo and .wrl which are also accepted in Vue)

What you need to do is : render your scene from inside Vue THEN save the picture of the finished render in .bmp .jpg or whatever...
