how on EARTH are you meant to find that on this site...? I must have clicked everywhere I could possibly think of and even tried a global search for renderosity t shirt and came up with zilch

try the "glitterato" plugin from flamingpear.com

just use the basic default clouds, reduce the stars to zero and then set as a new layer on top in 'soft light' or 'screen' mode

you can squish and distort the layer and use a diffuse brush to erase edges etc and then copy the layer and put it on top of tanother, twist, fold, mutilate and spindle until it looks right with the layer effects and layer modes etc

saw the gallery of someone here featured in a CGarts printed magazine and followed the link on the page the next day. That was October 2000-ish.

I then  surfed the site for about a year before getting hold of a copy of lunarcell filter plugin from flamingpear.com and gave it a whirl in photoshop. Came up with a picture which I called 'romulus and remus' and posted it here. Haven't look back since...!! - and that picture is STILL on my gallery on page 1!!! Actually everything bar one picture  that I've ever done is still here on my rendo gallery (had to delete one at the penciller's request) so you can pretty much see my entire progression as a comic book colourist from barely knowing what the frack I was doing to the stuff that I do today (some would say not much has changed.... :+P ... )

Highlights for me in the past 7 years at Rendo are: Hitting 1000 views for a picture for the first time, getting all of the top 12 'most commented of all time' images for the DC gallery at one point, getting included on the Best of Renderosity DVD in 2003 (still have my copy and watch from time to time)  and AOM for October 2004.

set the B&W picture to a layer in 'multiply' mode and then colour/paint underneath it in normal mode.

It seems to be me to be just like the 'network' requests that you get at CGTalk.com - which don't do all that much either.

agreed - the golden border naffs up when pictures are unusually wide.

3 different artists with differing styles and methods do a portrait of a star personality and then the star picks the winner, it's quite an interesting programme!
Shows some techniques that you might not think of if you do art in that way!
Anyway, you might want to check it out [or not].
