Finally, works! Thanks, folks:) My layout of video / codec panel is totally different, seems the guys finally put these things in B 2.5...2.6 upside down, as I dreamed. Hope the material editor will get even more work. It was still the old good mess when I was trying 2.5alpha..

Hmmm... Yur machine looks almost identical to mine, expt. better graphics card and disk. Haven`t you considered moving to e.g. Ubuntu? My machine runs ver 10 more or less reasonably, and handles C4D rel. 11 (on Wine) renders, etc. Or are you also using LW?;)

Wow, thanks for remembering:) I now dont have LW installed, though Im thinking of it. If C4D works (almost completely), maybe LW also will... At the moment I import LW projects via Blender.

What version of Blender are you using? For import and other stuff requiring *any *level of reliability, I stick to the old 2.49b.

Thanks... It worked, finally... but I can`t now find out how to choose a codec... the tutes say there is an "AVI codec" option on the format list, but I have only AVI Jpeg and AVI RAW! This is what I love in Blender:< 

Thanks. Did what you suggested, set the fps rate, etc., but what command would do the job?:0 Tried "anim" button, but it just anims the contents of the scene, not the image sequence I loaded.

Regarding VirtualDub, it comes in a Windows version only.

Thx... However, I dont think streaming would do any reasonable job, so I mean a downloadable file rather than a youtube - like online watching. First of all, I thought of people watching it on a computer monitor, then *maybe* on a DVD-linked TV. Monitors possibly should do well with 24fps (should they?), but do you think all these different TV standards would work? Thx. Unfortunately, it repeated so many times I dont think another one would fix the thing. Do you know some other place where I could get B 2.50? Dont the guys at www.blender.org have some test build repository?
BTW, the zip archive works w/o any error messages, so it seems they have some problem on their server??

Well, I dont have 64bit, and I d/loaded 32bit Blender (or I hope so:<). Isnt the pkg made for 64bit machines? I found sth else:

Thx for your advices. I havent expected the LW exporter to be a Python script:P ...Though I do have Python installed. Pity Blender page doesnt clearly point out it requires 2.51.

Now I have another kind of trouble... but should overcome this. Showing just for your fun:)

Okay, I abandoned my project, but it seems to be still needed:):) Maybe I will be able to finish my "Beginning 3D with Blender"-to be honest, I didn`t manage to change it with version changes, not to mention to broaden its scope:P But maybe it would be OK to post it as is. Wonder where could I have it hosted? My site has a rather nasty traffic limit.
