Moebius is the Lightwave moderator... just drop in an IM. He doesn't bite. He is in Thailand so he's twelve hours ahead of EST.

Smoovie: I've found that you get great results with a good mic, a tube driven pre-amp (left most bottom rack, second from the bottom) Methastopholis : I'm more a Tony Banks guy...

DaleB: Nicely put =0)
Nomuse: No, that my friend is one of the original Mini Moogs. She's vintage, near perfect condition, big and mean.
Smoovie:I use my computer to record. the reel to reel is a vintage AKAI 2 track. I use it for special effects mostly. I'll set up odd tape loops (like the beatles did) or for capturing things I need really saturated and warm. Once captured it gets re-recorded digital on to the computer with all the nice tube and tape fuzzies.
BuiJon: I don't have much in the ways of ooo's (eeewww's) that sound really convincing. I emailed you a 2.6mb wav of the mighty mellotron choir with some other sparkles mixed in.
nance:check you IM

Its seldom a straight tone for ten seconds, but I'll do that if you'd like. Commonly there's a few variations choose what your're thinking: there's the hallalujah type four chords: Haaa laaa loooo Yaa Two chords same feeling laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa daaaaaaaaaaa eight count monk chant dom in ay e ek we tay . . e tay ek way rek we em minor chords like the omen, which are both demonic or show the power of god. then the mystical low tone with magic sparkles, major chord happy and bright like et or close encounters or the same using minor, darker chords with more church bell type over tones showing deep magic that is good, a bit dangerous and possibly able to be used for evil -indiana jones and the temple of doom

If you have access to a modeling package, the process is rather simple. Most packages support .obj format 1.) Using the heirarchy window, I usually only load/export the body part I want to add a morph to, creating a new file being careful not to step on the original geometry. 2.) I import the file into my modeler (in my case Lightwave) 3.) I move the points to where I want them, being careful not to move the object as a whole. (If you move it, the new point positions get calculated as a morph) I save the file new file. 4.)Back in poser I created a folder in my runtime called morphs. I load the model, select the body part and then choose apply morph target. It will prompt you for the new geometry file - Bingo you get a new dial to twist.

I'd have to see your specific example, but I doubt any new vertices are created. Consider the four polygons below (the plus signs being the actual points on the mesh) This is being viewed from above. if you were to pull that middle one up toward you and move the ones on the sides and corners toward the center, you would create a spike sticking out of the mesh. The four polys would become non-planar and may cause rendor errors, but poser's 100 degree smoothing angle covers a lot of sins. Veiw the mesh in wire frame mode, see if you can spot where points are being stolen from.

Anytime. If you can, get hold of mimic, or the pose set created from mimic... you'll see how they use linear splie and break spline for facial animation.... you'll learn a lot
