Thanks for your help I played with this today and came up with close to the results I was going for it was allot of fun. I went with 15 frames, which took around 10-15 minutes to simulate. I found out the best thing I can do is leave and let it go, gave me time to fold laundry anyway :)because my computer doesnt like cancel simulation too well. I placed the cloth plane just slightly above her head at the same angle Paul had his. And Ill post images of my settings below. On the second one I just made it 50% transparent and set the color to blue in the material room just to play and see what it looked like partially transparent.

Cool thanks Ill give that a try too and experiment with the settings and see what I can come up with. If I come up with anything decent Ill post the results and settings.

Thanks Kiera Ill give that a try. When I lowered the drape frames I didnt seem to get that nice interaction with the wind deformer but I was probably doing something wrong. Thanks for your help.

I should say, my light preset was coming from the bottom. Its a preset called candlelight. And I didnt use the firefly rendering engine on my render I hadnt read up on it enough so I just went with the p4 render engine because I was used to it. I just did a quick render and posted it when I seen the thread.

Yes Don is the p5 guy and the face room is where you can change his facial features. That is the default p5 guy texture, it is great. I think he does have short eyelashes but I didnt play much in the material room so I could have something set wrong in there. The lighting is one of my presets from poser 4.

I like the hair, but I do like some of the old styles just as well, I havent played in the hair room except for a few seconds yet either. I cant see myself even attempting 100,000 strands I personally would load up one of the defaults or do my own and then postwork it, but I like postwork. To me I can see how it would be really cool for say hair blowing in the wind, then taken into photoshop or psp for a little postwork on it but havent tried that yet.

Im having company and wont get to play this evening, happens everytime I get new software :) but I can experiment and get a little deeper into it tommorow.

Here is a very quick one I did. I havent replied in any of the threads yet so I will say my installation and registration process went smoothly.

When I opened it back up the first time it froze my computer (first time with this new computer) but after restarting it opened back up fine. So far everything has ran fine for me, its just so much new stuff to learn I imagine thats why we arent seeing a whole lot of renders yet.

Most of this was playing in the face room with Don, I knew thats what I wanted to try first. I had a blast in there I did this one really quickly. The hair is just one of the default dynamic hairs with a few dial turns. And the only part of the manual I have read yet is how to install it and how to save my face/morph I did. I also read Rons post below on how to link to the old runtime folder and so far everything I have loaded from poser 4, including some lights, and mike 2 and textures for mike have loaded fine.

This has no postwork, just wanted to show a quick render. I have a 2ghz with 512mb of ram.

I like the change, and this thread seemed like a good place to announce, all my old freebies are now available for download from my artist/home page at the site here. I havent take the time to figure out how the links on the artist pages here work to get them up in the free section again yet, and since they arent really new anyway I just decided to leave them there for now.

I put new ones up at my website each month now also.
All mine can be used in personal and commercial renders.
