Thread: GUITTA - Good Bye... and thank to all of you for your amazing support !!! | Forum: Vue
When I first started with Vue and was pulling my hair out over problems I couldn't seem to solve, I would post questions to this forum. Guitta's patient reply's and advice are the reason's I'm still with Vue today. She was a great teacher as well as an artist and will be sorely missed. Another great show! As someone who has just gotten Vue4/Mover4, I'd like to know if you animated the dog and the statue together, or did you use two different .pz files?

If you really want to see what you can do with Vue4/Mover4 and Poser4w/Propack. Check out this site.Thread: Texture Questions | Forum: Vue
Thanks Gebe and Sharon, I really think I'm going to like this forum! According to the UPS website, I should have my copies of Mover and Vue by next Tuesday. Until then, I guess I'll just keep playing with P4 and C4D.
Thread: Darn Merchants! (that's d a r n not d a m) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If you're looking for good prices on DVD-R, check out www.meritline.com. I just bought fifty of their lowpriced DVD-R s for about 45.00 US. I burned about thirty dvds for various projects (from data storage to video conversions) and I only had one bad burn (my fault).
Thread: Some confusion on P5 and the ProPack... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks for the info. As to giving away my version of P4, as I stated in primary message, if I did give it away, I would then buy the FULL VERSION AT FULL PRICE. The person I would be giving it to is a newbie and doesn't know if she will like working with 3D or not. I thought this would be a great way for her to find out. I assure everybody that whatever course I take will be legal and ethical. I detest software piracy.
Thread: Supreme Court approve CG-made child porn... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The Court did not approve child pornography. What it said was that the law, as it was written, gave too many individuals the power to declare what is child pornography and what is not. This law, as it was written could have been used to ban such works as Shakespeare's "Romeo & Juliet" or even the classic painting "Madonna and Child." A picture of a parent giving his/her newborn child a bath could be prosecuted. If you think there aren't individuals in power who would try you're kidding yourself. I think that child pornography is the worst of the worst of human offenses and (literally) horsewhipping is too good for the perpetrators, but this was a bad law. The court is right, we need a law, but one that defines specifically what is illegal and what is not. This was not that law.
Thread: The "ART" question... and POSER 5 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I don't usually comment on this debate, but I'm finally going to put my two cents in: If you follow the line of reasoning that art generated "in" a computer is not art because the computer does the work, then Eric Clapton and Carlos Santana must not be artists because their guitars do the work and they of course don't craft their own instruments. I wonder if my work would gain any credibility with these snobs if they knew I built my own system?

Schlabber, could you please repost the ordering information for your CD? A lot of people, including myself, missed it.
Thread: So long, Ol' Paint. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've got you all beat. I've still got an original MacIntosh. It has a whopping 128k of ram, no hard drive and 1 400k floppy drive. I also still have an original imagewriter. They still work. I don't really use them anymore, but I can't stand the thought of getting rid of them. They were my firsts...
