I find it useful to copy the JPs from a standard figure and then tweak from there. (I used to do this manually, but I believe you can do it fairly easily with CR2 Editor.) Berge
Thread: Conforming Jeans for Eve | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thankyouall. As you can see I'm pretty useless at making textures. Perhaps someone can help out in that department when I finally get round to redoing this :) Vethril, I agree, Eve is great. I like the way she poses. The jeans conform fine, and in most positions they work without a hitch, but I haven't modeled much in Rhino lately, and when I exported my meshes I forgot to line up the vertices. Now some of the seams stretch apart a bit in some extreme positions. But I've still got my cross sections and I'll use the opportunity to sort out a few other problems and add some more detail. At least I've got the CR2 now :) Berge
Thread: Morph Targets for Conforming Clothing Question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well' I have MTs for my P3 clothes, but at present the clothes are attached to the figures. Not too much trouble to seperate and convert to P4. I'll do the whole lot one day when the mood takes me. I guess one can save the magnets for the breast and but morphs on the figure and apply them to the clothes, but that will probably only give you half the result. Ah, what the hell, might as well start from scratch. I do this for fun anyway (grit, grit)|:[] Berge
Thread: Joint ventures | Forum: Community Center
If you get a chance, wander over to the Rhino forum. The entire team is working on a joint project there. They may have a solution for the file swapping problem. My contribution to the project is still far from finished, so I haven't had to try and send files yet :) Berge
Thread: Hypothetical Question | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
Thank you for the replies. I guess I'm not used to such open and unrestricted business practices. I applaud the Store for its attitude. Berge
Thread: Problem with prop | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Only thing I can think of is that it's something silly, like the minimum and maximum values or something. To check, double click on the morph dial and check all the values. Maybe someone else can pick up from here. Sorry I can't help. Berge
Thread: Problem with prop | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Very, very basically: Open your prop in your modelling application, make the changes and export it as a new .obj file. Open the prop in Poser, select it, double click, add morph target, selecting the file you just saved, click OK. Check that the dial works correctly. With the prop selected, open the Props library, Add to library, overwriting the existing file. When you open it again it should have the morph target included and working. Does that help or am I smoking rope again? :) Berge
Thread: Real Name instead of User Name | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Personally I think krbtv has a nice ring to it. (wasn't there some romantic song about a girl called krbtv back in the sixties?) In fact, I've been thinking of naming my daughter krbtv. Either that or vxzgw (The latter being perhaps a bit masculine for a girl). Berge (which is actually the name of my cat and for the use of which I have to pay royalties.)
Thread: Barbarella's 4th and last outfit | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Exellent stuff! As coincidence would have it, I watched a rerun of Barbarella on TV last night. Your outfit and renders are amazingly true to the original. The only bearded man in the movie (as far as I can recall) was the chap who rounded up the children in the Ice Forest. He played a relatively small part. Pity I didn't see your posting before, I could have taped it and pulled some pictures off for you. Sorry. Berge
Thread: Fantasy warrior boots | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
No bump map, no texture map just a straight render from my modeling program with the different materials coloured. (One can achieve almost unlimited detail in a model. The main restriction is the file size. And if Poser could read nurbs files, even that wouldn't be a problem :) Berge
Thread: Fantasy warrior boots | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Slight problem with the download bit. I still work in Poser3 and I don't have my own website. (I'm just a starving "artist" and know nothing about them technical thingies.) I intend to use them as conforming clothing in Poser3 but have no idea what to do to make them Poser4 friendly. If someone wants to volunteer to help out, I'd be happy to make them available. (Maybe a collaberation for future stuff and some of the old junk in my closet?) Berge
Thread: Female warrior : - Trial loft of Kalypso's boots | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Sharkey, no, that command only works on objects made from NURBS surfaces (That's why everyone is so keen for a mesh-to-nurbs command :). I had to project the points of my cross section curves and snap them to the mesh and then adjust them. The problem really is that, to get horizontal creases, one has to work with vertical crosses, which means you sort of run out of cross sections when you get to the feet. But I think I solved that problem this morning in the bath :) Berge

Thread: A few simple animation questions | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I still work with Poser3, so I don't know if this will be of any use, but here are some suggestions: 1. I'm not too sure about this one, but at most you should only have to hit "drop to Floor" at every key frame. 2. There's a slider called "Play Range" at the bottom of the animation palette that you can use for this. 3. In Poser3 the ground plain is more or less like a prop. You make it visible by ticking it on the guides menu, and you can move it (Y-tran/X-tran/Z-tran) or scale it in your first frame, delete all susequent keyframes for that element and it should stay where you put it. Hope it helps. Berge
