I didnt lie - you attacked me. You accused me of doing things I didn't do. I didnt attack Merrilyn. I didn't attack you either. I did comment on your behaviour. I'm simply amazed at this. I really can't believe what I'm seeing. No, I'm pissed at the way the Poser merchants act, for the most part. Its not personal. it started in the copyright forum here - and really cinched it for me in the Steffy vs. BMO threads. Because I got ripped off as a customer. I've defended Anton over and over again in threads where he was upset over the copyright issue. It is because I have been hit with the same thing before. When he accused me of having problems with you - I wrote him a nice long email explaining my position. And that it wasn't personal. He accused me of using you and him for my point. That was not the case at all. I only disputed that these technique was used a long time. And no, I didnt invent it. I learned it from seeing it done by other people, who did it before me. But not in Poser. He replied sarcastically that I was using him for my "agenda" ... of which I have none - except that I'm tired of people acting like primadonnas.

Then he changed his post, telling me to reread it... and I posted this... I read it. The program I did that type of work on - supported transparency in several areas. You could layer mesh and use transmapping on them. In Photoshop you had to set up the transparency mask on the actual texture however - that had to be done in layers using stencils - so the process was a bit different than in Poser - but basically the idea is the same. This may be where you are getting mixed up - I'm talking about a different program. Some of them were even animated. Could do similar things in the Blaxxun environment then too - I knew people who did some amazing animated water environments.

I've been very sharing with my freestuff and help as well, for many years. I have not sought the spotlight like many, but that doesn't mean I haven't done anything. One look at my freestuff should show you I've shared, and one look at my gallery will show you I've been active at learning new 3d techniques, and testing plugins in the Carrara community. I have helped countless people with proper shader techniques in Carrara, both here and at Rotica. In fact - I think I'll stick to the Carrara community here from now on forward - those people are a heck of a lot nicer. I wonder if it has to do with them not selling "products" and concentrating selling their finished art, instead... (it was me who posted the reference to the Dany comics, not Caly) Anyway, I've been posting about the topic of Poser erotica, and defending it off and on around here, for oh, nigh on 3 years now. I'm a regular at that place called Rotica. (a featured artist, in fact - so I get paid) I've been called all kinds of names in threads because of this fact. I don't whine about it. I don't care. It's my interest, and what I like using Poser for. I'm not going to apologise for it. But I'm sure that someone will say I'm on a crusade to persecute Silverleif Studios and Anton. And before the semi-anonymous trolling personal attacks on me at DAZ appeared by a man I never met in my life. Oddly after I told Anton privately he was now residing on my ignore list for being so insulting when I was being very nice to him, trying to explain to him my personal position with the politeness you seem to believe Anton deserves. I agree with you. I've read that character animation is a major focus for the next version of Carrara - that was stated a while back when C3 came out. I've been setting up a Carrara rig for Poser figures, which is coming along pretty well by now. Its doable, but complicated. The results are well worth the effort though.
