This vantage point on craggy tor
atop resplendent scenery
fits my stance as heavens throne
Its presence, bids my sight
be overwhelmed;
whilst sitting in repose
as to horizon
Mother Earth unfolds

broad winding water
stretched below, cuts a swathe
flecks of rainbows dance
downward, onward fleeing
to a fluid jewel of life
a mirrored plain
of shattered blinding light

golden-headed soldiers
throng valleys rolling slopes
commandeered in silent reveille
by nature’s call to arms
attuned by every whispered word
whilst marching in the breeze 

heather strewn carpets
hug feet of giant firs
canopied in hats of verdigris
supple limbs half clothed
in spikes of emerald green
outstretched towards their neighbours
in request of summer waltz

flanking, white sheeted panjandrums
bear witness to the secret vale
harsh, self-important by themselves
they rise majestic, comely crowned.
in alabaster collarets
receiving touch of heaven’s kiss
upon their moistened brow

often it is the authors ego meico 

but this isn't or should i say wasn't the case in this instance.
i have to say your attitude on crit advice or comments given is similar to my own. nice to see you treat feedback seriously. with your attitude, giving comment, feedback etc would be a pleasure and a privilage. sad that bystanders cant do the same as the authors sometimes.

as for comments to the contrary. i always like to see differing points of view about poetry. and whilst i would join in discourse with other posters i would never tell someone there crit was wrong if the author replied to me i would try and be respectfull in my answer to them explaining more if possible why i thought what i did. i would also express my understanding in the author not agreeing with me. in truth i wouldn't class what i said to your piece as a detailed critique. i always believe the author has the last say in how they respond to feedback and that the critiquer once they have nade a crit should accept the authors choice without trying to change it.

sorry stacey i never dreamt you were being sarcastic and if it looks like thats what i implied please accept my apologies.  i just thought it ironic that those who disliked the old thumbs were able to make rendo change whilst those who don't care for the top 20 are told not to look at it. i have seen it said more than once that most are in the top 20 cos of the back slapping syndrome, whether or not it's true i don't know but it sounds as reasonable as arguement for stopping it as did the nude thumb arguement. jmo of course and it's okay if others dissagree with me lol.  again sorry for making you think i was on about sarcasm. personally i think youi do a great job overall as do the other mods and admin. (i say this in with warmth and truth )i'm the first to admit you have a hard job to do.

i see people talking about censorship as though it only happens here. that art doesn't get censored is a crock imo. no one can censor what an artist creates but almost every artist that shows work can find themselves on the receiving end of censorship. go to any art gallery on the high street. usually they'll show two maybe three styles of work. take a piece of art in that isn't  what they want and they won't entertain you. in real life, censorship is much more in your face than asking someone to do non nude thumbs of their work. in real life the artwork is often refused a showing because it doesn't fit in with a galleries theme, you're not established, it's the wrong colour, it's the wrong medium, we only show females artwork, we only show gay peoples artwork, we only show what we want to show etc etc. argue the point about thumbnails by all means but dont talk about it as the beand end all of censorship as it relates to art. no one is saying you can't paint this or that, they're saying they'll show what they want to show, which is their perogative. i can't believe all the spilled tears by so called artists crying foul. if you want to show your artwork without it being censored create a site of your own or hand the piece on your front door.  true censorship is not the refusal to show a piece of art by someone but to stop them from creating the piece of art in the first place. putting a book on a banned list at school is on a localised censorship. burning all the copies is real censorship. jmo

i don't post in the galleries, i'm not good enough. if i did and they were nudes i would see nothing wrong in posting a non nude thumb. that said those that don't agree with me have as much right to state their opinions as i do. and as often as they like. but no all you do is try and shout people down. please stop it. when stacey says no personal attacks i presume she's including you and some of your posts. think about it. while it good to defend someone it isn't if you do so at the exspence of someone elses right to post. stacey is a big girl and i'm sure can hold her own, if not she only needs come to my place where i will gladly hold em for her hehe. jk stacey.

has anyone noticed that you get a blank page when you click on last?  i was wondering if i should start a new thread and bring it to someones attention?

does everyone get the same blank page or are they all different blank pages?
 what is the reason for this occurrence.  do i need a dongle to view the text that is obviously missing or should i get myself a keygen and work the algorithem backwards. also, am i allowed to do a render of a blank page or will i be breaking rendos copyright on blank pages?
