Paula - That feel you're talking about...I don't get that until the scene is set and I begin to tweak the
atmosphere. I rarely know in beforehand what I want to create.
Rutra - well, it sure works :D Those island of yours are absolutely stunning :)) (And I still want
to buy one...hehe)
Silverblade, Stormchaser & Red Dog - I assume that means that all of you have more than 512 kb of RAM? ;)
And yes, an atmosphere can slow down the render time a lot...even a preview render can take
forever to do if the atmosphere is dense and is high quality.
Whenever I tweak my atmospheres I usually consider if the sky will be visible or not, because if
it isn't I usually take down the details in the clouds. Don't need high details in clouds you cannot
see. And if I'm still moving things around after I loaded the atmosphere and want to do test
renders, I turn down the quality of fog and haze (if it's set to a high) and I do the same with the
light.
When I'm done I can always turn those back up again before I start the final render.

Any Poser items are usually loaded last!
LOL....yeah...they DO tend to take a lot of resources once they've been imported.

Geez...I would've gone nuts after a whole year. More likely, I probably wouldn't have been alive since my heart couldn't handle the Gabapentin.
Good to hear that you get some relief with the neuro stimulator. That must be a lot better than drugs.
Sorry to hear that you need it in the first place.

Docs are idiot = true
Off topic = very true
We can take this off the board before someone grabs our ears and threaten to kick us outta
here... :p

I found gabapentin helped a lot with nerve pain and other stuff I get, pregabalin (spelling?) is newer and said to be better, but guess you've tried them ? :)
I tried Gabapentin, but got big problems with retaining water and my heart wasn't doing too good.
So I'm off those. They did help for a while though...at least until the side effects got too obvious.
And no...I haven't tried Pregabalin (don't know the correct spelling either :p). Not yet anyway.

Thanks for your replies.
I think I have some explaining to do.
I can't recall starting this thread and the explanation is pain killers.
Those of you who peeked at my homepage here knows that I have Chronic Neuropathic Pain Disorder, and at times when the pain gets too rough I take really strong stuff just to get through the day.
I'm afraid that starting this thread was due to drugs more than anything.
So just ignore this please :)
And sowwries.

LOL...I just added a PS in my post...I'm not very active here in the forums, which is why I'm asking about the galleries overall.
I guess it's all what you are use to, but I would like to make a comment as I browse the galleries when I find something that I want to know more about and ask a question, click a "subscribe" button and maybe get an answer from the owner of the gallery post. I guess it is the option of not having to go to a forum for all that...
Maybe I'm strange? I mean more than usual? LOL

melikia - I uninstalled V4.0 since the file seemed to be corrupt and I haven't installed her again.
At least not yet.
And I haven't had any issue importing V 4.2 into Vue at all.
As for installing Vue on multiple machines, I believe you need a license that will let you do that.
Take a peek at e-on's website and see what it says, but most of the time you need more than one license since it would be two different computers.
I hope you will recover from surgery :)

i was hoping the e frontier was following e-on and would put the library in My Documents instead of squeezing it all in under Program Files. And yes, it sure needs cleaning up. I hate it when it's messy.
Right now I have close to 9 gig of stuff in my Runtime folder and it takes forever to load on this lil laptop. Somehow I think that it would be a lot faster with a cleaner structure.
As for SkinVue, I've never tried it. Mostly because I rarely use any poser characters in Vue. Can anyone please point out where I can get it?
It seemed that V4.2 behaved better in Vue than V3 does...but that might change when I begin to set up an entire scene :p Nothing usually lasts forever.

I haven't used V4 yet, iirc, lol, tons of stuff for V3 and she works ;)
Good point.

Gill - yes, I usually do it that way too. Sounds like Thefixer's way is smoother and faster though :D
And a dishwasher is never wrong. I dislike to get kitchen tools as gifts, but a dishwasher I would gladly accept :D
