here we have a mullet mixed with some really poor taste in fashion... usually the case, tho the fashion sense of most mullet is quite a beautiful thing unto itself...

i have hundreds...a few in my gallery, but would happily ul more... to be honest tho, a term i prefer is just 'white trash.' Trailer park white trash is a little more specific and is inclusive of the lowest (highest?) forms of white trash. Mostly wife beaters, ex prostitues, and inbreds. My dream is to one day have the courage (balls) to document this ever elusive form of human. Next week, theres a big festival in my town that for some reason brings all the suburb white trash into the city. This being my favorite form to observe and document. Something deep within my soul is stirred when i see these lemming scurrying around. Cant really tell you why, but such is the case. Anyway, here come the pics....

actually alot of those shots were made with a really crappy sigma 100-300. It cost me about $150. If i was making $$ taking pics tho, i'd definitely get the f2.8... lots of luck!

i use a sigma 28-300/3.5-6.3, and that seems to be just perfect for me . Its not very big, quite light, and i've never felt the optics were lacking. I find that the whole issue concerning optics is kinda silly anyway when you figure that most people use a pretty crummy scanner. Whats the point in having lots of detail if you never get to use it? anyway, hope that helps some...

ummm, i cant imagine how you got the b&w version from messing with the b channel... I'm confused. Normally the b channel is used to affect the blue and yellow of an image. The L channel is for lightness... this is where the grey of an image resides. Somehow you've managed to invert yer whites! I must say that, for the most part, i do like the results... The leaves in the foreground are especially nice. Would you post what your Lab image looked like before you made the final b&W conversion? I've tried to reproduce what you've done here, but with no luck! I did make ya a nice Lab sepia tho...
