I downloaded V4 and installed her. But I see there ARE supposed to be some basic morphs that will change the shape of the body that should come with her. I went to the forums on daz and they were talking about initializing her to use them? Anyone know how to do this? I asked there but they are slower to respond.

Yeah...wish I read your post about the morphs before I bought V4 today. I thought the figure would at least have some. But it seems like I was mistaken.
Thread: Help with a mirror | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Basic geometry skills?
The mirror, the object, and the camera form a triangle. You know their locations (x/z coordinates) to be able to determine the lengths of each side. Link to equation.
From that you can get an angle. Then you can use said angle (solve for mirror's location) to figure out which angle the mirror needs to be pointed in order to see the reflection from the camera.
Thanks, this is the information I think will work best. The problem is I am not too good with geometry...out of practice for years. I looked at the site you gave and it didn't make sense to me. Let me ask how to get the side lengths of the triangle.
If point a (mirror) is at lets say 4x and 3z and point b (object) was at 9x and 2z with point c (camera) at 9x and 6z I would be able to determin the distance between each object by ??? How do I get the side lengths?

and maybe post some renders at your gallery

Looks a bit empty
Yeah I know I have been doing more learning and testing things than actually making the art. I guess I should take a time out from learning long enough to just enjoy what I already know.

Quote - Which means the script is not backwards compatible with P6 because of the Python changes.
Hmmm...I just remember reading that it does work with poser 6 in the info about it and others have used it.

I just sent you a message about an error I am getting. I hope you can help me learn how to use these scripts you offer.
Thread: Help With Attatching | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - I suspect the main thing would be to make sure you have the textures matching. Beyond that, the morphing brush could help smooth things out, but you don't have that in Poser 6. It may be time to upgrade since you are four versions and nearly ten years behind in the technology.
Yeah I know I need to update but just have no money. But I have heard of people being able to attatch things to the figure in a way that makes it look normal. I am just not sure if texturing is it.
Thread: How does a figure grab cloth? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - If you need to move cloth attached to the hand try this:
1 move hand to cloth
2 constrain the cloth vertices to the hand where it touches the cloth
3 run sim. the cloth will stay attached to the hand during the sim but flow as normal everywhere else.
I will have to try this. Is there a way to run the simulation before the hand gets close to grab is without the constaint? Then after the constraint finishes it's job can you turn it off again and continue the animation?
Thread: How does a figure grab cloth? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - One trick I use is the drape the item over a cone and run the sim from there. Remove the cone and place the top of the simmed object in the figure's hand!
I am wondering how this would work in an animation?

Quote - For the UV re-mapping:
This will be a waste of time for most newer Poser figures, as the "pelt mapping" is already the most effective mapping possible that gives the least distortion with the best use of UV-space.
A simple "front-back" mapping like the old Poser figures had might appear simpler to paint on but will give you very nasty texture stretching and if you're not really careful you might even create overlapping UV's, making the figure unusable.
Get yourself a 3D-painting program that lets you paint/texture directly on the figure instead of messing with UV-seams.
I do have blender and I hear it can let you paint on the model. I just want to use picutes to texture the models so I am not sure how to do that in blender. Any advice?

I am thinking that if I combine the items I can then export it all as an obj and then do weld verts when importing to poser?
Thread: Holes In Figure | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - try setting normals forward and see if that helps. Holes are missing or reversed polygons.
I actually just checked the obj in wings3d and noticed there are doubles of geometry names for every part of the figure. So I selected the top one that says head and it didn't select the whole head like it should. It selected the hole (which is visible in wings). Then I selected the second one named chest and it selected everything else but the hole.
If I make the top name invisable the hole shows up (obviously). Is there a way to fix this?
Thread: How To Change Figures UV Map? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Oh, I opened up the obj in wings and noticed the spots that are holes are in seem to be listed in the geometry graph with the same name as the body part they are in. Looks like duplicate names. If I leave both names as visible then there are no holes...but if I delete one or hide it then there is a hole. What's the deal with that?
Thread: How To Change Figures UV Map? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have the items I work on outside until I am finished and then bring them in. But now I do have another question. I have done edited the cr2 and everything looked good...but when I loaded the new remapped figure there were holes in some places. I am not sure why or how to fix it. I followed the tutorial on remaping almost exactly.
So how do I fix that?

LOL OMG! I finally Got it! I had the unzip done all along but my computer hid the file for some reason! Thanks everyone!
