I try to explain. I create a character female, and it comes up with the real eyes. I switch the head camera on, and then I click on 1 eye to highlight it. Then I go to bottom of the screen and click on the last little ball on the right (the one for textures) and nothing happens. I tried on the render menu, but when I open materials, it is the body that's selected and not the eyes.....I hope I've made myself understood, english is not my mother tongue...:))))

Ghostofmacbeth, thanx for your reply. I am italian. And duplicate the square and apply a new texture is what I do, but they all change to the last used. Maybe there is an option to reset all default settings?

No, I overvrite the old one. Go in the material lab when i open the texture source editor. There I find the last image, go to load the new one and click the check mark. When I go back to the scene, also the 1st object I had textured with another picture changes and both have the 2nd image textured on them. Hope you understand, it's not easy to explain in a language that is not yours....thanxxxxxx

I finished my hard work. If you wish you may have a look in my gallery. I think a little atmosphere is missing, but I've tried different things (spheres with volume mapping and changing atmosphere settings) but nothing worked. I just wanted the water to be less cristalline. Anyway, with your suggestions, things got much better. Any suggestion is welcome even if I don't think I will render again....(7.30 hours....)

The water is a volumetric slab. Now I increased the diamonds' ambient and refraction as Hawkfyr suggested, and changed material to the plants and it seems to look better. But still a little bit unreal....I added some corals created sith lattice. I would not like to darken too much the scene, as I intended to create a caribbean underwater scene. By the way, I'm also working on another picture, and noticed that when i change the material to one object (i.e. a flat square)all othe object of the same type change material.....maybe I clicked something I ought not.....sigh......
