I, for one, hope WW does not become "core" to the Poser product. That is primarily because I expect WW will remain more viable, more dynamic, and better supported in the hands of and under the direct control of its creators. In addition to that, some of those of us who have forked out the money for WW may come to regret it, and perhaps even feel slightly cheated, if the same capability merely "comes with" the next version of Poser. (I guess it wouldn't be the first time some of us Poser users felt a little cheated though ... and probably not the last.) Just my 2 cents worth.

As you've suggested, it really pays to find out more about these matters. There are an almost infinite number of XP tweaks that will improve perfomance, e.g., disabling the paging executive, enabling udma-66, tweaking irq handling, increasing the primary app priority, tweaking the usb polling interval, cleaning and defragging the registry, defragging the boot, increasing the IO page lock limit, optimizing the prefetch, tweaking the file allocation size, disabling the messenger, and as you mentioned, themes, the indexing services, and perhaps a few other services many users don't need or use. And Microsoft has nearly all this stuff set up 'out of the box' to degrade performance in exchange for 'features.' Ugh. Anyway, there are various utilities, some of them free, that will improve XP performance quite significantly, and very well worth looking into, IMHO.

You can also create your own hair fits, so whatever works for you. The hair fits are only $2.50. That's the only reason -- oh forget it.

Maybe the hair fits if as you said you already have the supported models, or most of them. As for the rest, you can create your own morphs and you can create your own poses, etc. Further, if you do so, you will probably learn a lot more about AM in the process. So I'd suggest you just hang on to the rest of the money and wait another month or two. There are liable to be various AM products coming soon, and you may need every penny. (all usual disclaimers apply)

For what it's worth, I'd have to agree with Fazzel. Teeth look a little buck. Also, some strangeness around the mouth, and depending on how young you are going for, the eyes could be slightly larger, and the nose might be a little too mature, and the jaw might be just slightly too square. But it looks pretty good, and, of course, all of the above comments are all entirely subjective ...

"The chest size on that figure is garish, not to mention unbelievable and completely defies the laws of gravity. Sorry, but I don't find unrealistic gargantuan boobs on skinny bodies, esthetically appealing in art." Garish? Unbelievable? Unrealistic? Er, uh, Acadia, you obviously never met my best friend's brother's wife. If anything, hers are bigger than these, her body is skinnier, and by all the accounts of people who have known her all her life, they are natural, too.

Yeah. What Deecey said. It looks like you must be starting out with very lo-res document settings.
Thread: PayPal question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It is not my intention to 'bad mouth' PayPal. They may be fine folks in every way imaginable, but I had a very negative experience. I attempted to purchase something once on ebay, something expensive. The seller turned out to be fraudulent. I had used an account transfer in the auction. Most others had used their credit cards. While PayPal advised the others to reverse charges with their credit card company, I was given no such option. I did, eventually, get my money back based on a legal technicality my bank discovered, but it totally skewed my relationship with PayPal in the process. Last time I checked, they still had my account suspended and still said I owed them money. Their user agreement says, or at least said at the time, that the seller (i.e., not me, the buyer) was responsible for losses due to reversal of charges, but because I used a bank transfer instead of a credit card, they nevertheless held me responsible instead. I never did understand why I was expected to eat the cost of having been defrauded while those who used credit cards were not. I contacted them repeatedly about it and never got any satisfaction. Eventually they stopped responding altogether. Perhaps all that has changed and improved. Or perhaps I was just the exception to otherwise perfect service. I won't go so far as to tell you not to do business through PayPal, but I strongly recommend that you at least do not use transfers from your bank account to pay for anything. At least when you use a credit card, you can contact the card company and request a reversal of charges if you are not happy about something, and that is even something PayPal advises in the case of fraud, and seems to be okay with.

Marque, Windows 64 will not work with most current hardware. But it is already available in a limited release for those who have recently purchased a compatible 64-bit system and have and are willing to trade in an XP Pro OEM license. Unfortunately, lots of hardware drivers are not yet available, and from what I've read at microsoft.com, plenty of folks are still having troubles with it. In other words, unless you particularly like headaches, you might want to save and invest those pennies for a good little while yet before making the leap.

Try loading your morphs into each fig separately and saving each one to your fig lib. Then reload them. Does it help?

There are other methodologies that work, but I've found this to be one of the best for me. This is essentially what noggin suggested over on the ZBrushCentral site, and after having tried a few other approaches, it is now how I do it, too: a) Import the figure's base geometry into ZBrush. b) Do your ZBrushing. c) Export the obj to file with a unique name. d) In Poser, import your ZBrush-modified obj. e) Select the grouping tool and spawn props. f) Delete the originally imported obj. g) Export each body part that has been morphed separately, checking only the bottom check box that states 'as morph target.' h) Delete all the spawned props if you haven't already. i) Load your target figure into Poser. j) Select, in turn, each body part to which you wish to add morph targets, i.e., the same ones you exported to objs before, and then load each obj file as the morph target for that part. I generally set the dial value for the morph to 1.0 as I go so I can more easily create a full body morph (FBM). k) Now with dial values for the loaded morphs all set to 1.0, select Figure / Create full body morph. l) To test, restore your figure and then set your Body FBM dial. m) If happy with the result, save your figure with its new morphs in the poser library with a new name. And note that with Z2 you shouldn't have the same flip problem Z1.5 had, at least in my experience, at least using this method. I hope I didn't leave anything out. I don't think so. Well, try it and see. If it doesn't work, I'll try to find my notes and see what I may have forgotten.
