She looks nice...I certainly am interested in updates and the character when she comes out. Thanks.
Thread: Anyone else like to See the Top 20 back? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I concur with those against the idea of re-introducing the Top 20.....despite the protestations that it wouldn't again be just a buddy's ego-trip back-slapping club, this is precisely what it would turn into again...and it's good to see works by those artists who wouldn't otherwise make it onto any Top list.
Thread: DOWNLOADING POSER7... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Anyone having major problems downloading the second Content file that comes with Poser 7? This is about 209Mb, but my download always seems to end prematurely at about 140Mb...when I try to check the zip file it obviously comes up as corrupt, etc. as it is incomplete. Having downloaded the main Poser 7 file yesterday I'm wondering why this much smaller file is causing such a problem!

I know what you went through Storm! I downloaded P7 yesterday and it took over 8 hours.....thankfully the servers didn't go down, etc. but I downloaded the whole thing at 55.6 kb/sec and it was a bit tense not knowing if I'd have to start all over if the servers hiccuped! Kinda irritating...but at least I have it now and it all installed ok. More server bandwidth might have been useful!

ROFL! I hope Daz sort all the problems out for when V6 is rolled out...V5 will obviously just be a stop-gap figure correcting all of V4's shortcomings. :)
Thread: Important Poser 7 announcement! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
:) Great! Wouldn't be half as funny if it wasn't all true! I think you've covered pretty much everything. I just popped onto the Bryce forums here and at Daz and your predictions have all come true! Guess the same will happen when Poser 7 appears! Priceless!

Thread: Free tutorial videos: The Vue Function Editor... | Forum: Vue
Thanks for sharing these tutorials! Have just watched the first one..and as someone who has struggled with the function editor it's great to have it explained like this. Thanks again!
Thread: Carrara Terrain Tools....wouldn't it be great if Vue had something similar! | Forum: Vue
TheFixer - Yes, that's my problem too!
I would never describe the function editor as being intuitive to use - which is why I've, so far, avoided using it. This Terrain plugin seems considerably easier to use for creating ripples, wakes, etc. round objects in water.
TheFixer and I and a few others contributed to a thread a few weeks back when we discussed various work-arounds such as creating small rippled terrains in Vue to place round objects, etc. I guess without knowledge of the function editior we'll have to stick to these, somewhat, long-winded solutions!
Any good tutorials on how to do ripples, etc. in the funstion editor greatfully welcome!

LCB - I just enabled subdivision in the Carrara displacement mapping dialogue box and now when I import this displaced mesh into Vue it seems to show up ok..... so, do you always need to turn this subdivision option on for this technique to work ok?
