I love it... =) It adds so much softness a fairy needs... Of course Paul's way isn't just with the Cosmo hair.. From what I understand he uses scanned images from magazines and such and then mask them in a paint program...I hate to speak for him but this is my understanding, maybe he can correct me if I'm wrong here.. I neither have a scanner nor do I have the interest right now masking a bunch of images...blah.. Hate that, but the effects are stunning... Say you'd like a flowing hair to the side for your fairy.. You'd just pick up a good fashion magazine, find the perfect hair, scan it (if you have a scanner) and wala instant hair... Check out Paul's gallery...There is one awesome B&W picture of a woman in a field with LONG flowing hair.. Now that didn't come from any of these makeover progs... Still I'm content with VM and Istyle right now... =) ~Cindy
Thread: Cosmo question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
White box?!... Hmmm You mean VM 2? Ok if your talking about VM 2, There is a way I've done it and their bigger than 228x314 pixels your talking about... I just create a blank image, jpg, bmp or whatever (white), any size, brought it into VM 2 as if I had a model in the picture, applied the hair and scaled it to a size I want, then saved to disk.. The image saved is larger than the 228x314 your talking about.. After that the fun job of masking... =( I don't know if that helps or not but I think VM 1 and Istyle have simular sized masks on their CDs... I only know about VM1 & 2 and Istyle... Oh and the hot pink is very becoming on her .. Hmmm lol ~Cindy
Thread: Hand pose for library? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Your right Melanie!... I tried it and it does work... Just pose your full body model's hand and save to the HAND LIBRARY.. Sheesh didn't think of that.. Either way works but your way is probably better.. *making note of that.. ~Cindy

Yes Pa902, it has the wigs on the CD, alpha channels, so like Cosmo Virtual Makeover Original you don't have to install it.. Their wig files are in *.png format... Here is the url http://www.sierra.com/sierrahome/beauty/ I recommend anyone interested in Isytle to have a picture thumbnail viewer like Thumbs plus or or something simular cause there are lots of wigs on the CD to view....ugh! ~Cindy

I had the same problem.. I download the PC version but I believe agnes got the files mixed up for I deleted the so called *PC file and downloaded the MAC version instead (I'm on a PC)...It worked! I think agnes reposted some of the files hopefully corrected the problem but I'm not sure.. I can't say if you download the MAC version now it will work on the PC but it did for me.. Just a mix up I think.. ~Cindy
Thread: Ok, I finally posted an image to the gallery | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
aaahhhh I'm there now.... Beautiful Kate!... The colors are awesome.. The picture takes me there.. I like the woman's expression .. Kinda makes me wonder what she's thinking.. The water and sky are picture perfect... I think it would of looked more awesome rendered larger but I guess it would of taken days then and every artist has their preference too... I don't know much about VUE 3 but it appears to render with more vibrant colors than Byrce.. Am I right?... Anyway, It's really beautiful.. ~Cindy
Thread: Hand pose for library? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ok, from what I know you need to bring the Hand figure in from the "Additional figures" folder and pose either the right hand or the left hand figure, save to your pose library and it won't effect your over all model pose but only the hands of your model...Don't pose the hands from the full body models ONLY the hand models, then save the pose and apply it to your full body model... Byte me if I'm wrong.... =) ~Cindy

Very nice Image themagi ..... I've had Bryce for a year and still fear it like the plague so I'm always impressed by decent images from Bryce...Most art I've seen from Bryce seem so washed out and pale and I like bright colors or just B&W so I don't fool with Bryce much.. Your link didn't work for me.. ~Cindy

I especially like the red head for some reason but their all great... =) Very good Picnic and you have the cloning down better than I.... One thing I like about Istyle is none of the hair images are cut off, even the longer hair.. But unfortunately VM2 has better quality hair in my humble opinion, but Istyle is still good.. A lot of their styles (VM all versions) are cut off and they don't have alpha channel images on their CD except the original pink box version.. Maybe if they see such an interest their product in the Poser community they'll change this in future releases... *crossing fingers ~Cindy
Thread: Cosmo Virtual Makeover Rulez! (Cosmo Virtual Makeover 2 drools) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Wow, my eyes are poppin' out of my head!... Great Images tlaubach but then your textures and rendered images are very realistic anyway.. With the Cosmo hair, their even more awesome...=) I have VM1, VM2 and Istyle....Istyle has more hair (500+) and their wigs are pre-alpha channeled too (masked)in *.png format... Also it has accessories (glasses, barretts, hats and jewery)that are masked, pre-alpha channeled... It has men's hair and facail hair.. It's very much like VM1 but more hair and more options.. You can use them via Hafeli style or a paint program that works with layers..To Allerleirauh, it works full color on a PC... ~Cindy

Hey thanks Kristyn, Talos, and Wyrwulf.. I'm not sure who this Willow Character is but then I rarely watch TV or movies... Now yawl have me curious.. I'll need to check into that... As for your questions wyrwulf, I used Poser 4 for both of them... The face on the right wasn't antialias when I rendered so a I soften it with a disffuse Glow in Photoshop and added some noise to the skin.. I also added noise to the skin on the red head too to give the textures even more of a realistic glow.. The texture I used for the blonde was Anton Kisiel's Kassandra and the red head I used Tlaubach's brown eye girl... No morph targets at all... Nothing special and they both probably took me all together about 20 minutes.. Poser, Cosmo and the Photoshop. ... I have no idea what the Pink box looks like installed but I know the wigs are not high quality as the later versions.. Hmmm Maybe I'll install that sucker and check it out...

Wow thanks Melanie, with all the interest in this I think there needs to be a tutorial on it... I don't do it much and I still have my problems with masking and such (hate that) but would like to know more.. I'll look for your tutorial...
Thread: More Cosmo Virtual Makeover CD | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Allerleirauh, what copy of Cosmo do have, the original in the pink box or the newest one Cosmopolitan Deluxe (blue box)?... I never installed Cosmo (original) on my machine since the wigs are on the CD in a separate folder and already masked... I just lifted the wings from the cd..It might have something to do with which version you have... When I bought Cosmo deluxe I found out the wigs aren't masked in a folder so I had to install it and capture the pics on my screen then bring them into my paint program to do my own masking.. Being basically lazy I decided just to import a rendered image in to Cosmo and do it from there.. The above pictures are from Cosmo deluxe not Cosmo Original... I would think the older version probably isn't high resolution, but not sure...

Opps got cut off.. (continue from above)It was just for fun and the picture that were saved were small and I thought really useless... I debated buying the Cosmo CD because I didn't just want close up and head and shoulders and I think at the time it was around 40+ bucks... It wasn't until Poser 4 came out with the transparency option and started seeing What Paul Hafeli and DigitalWoman were doing that I decided to hunker down the cash though... Your right Kristyn it is limited or so with my small brain .. If I were a programer or something I could see profit in creating a program that generated real hair for Poser models (3D at any size).. Wow, I think someone could make some money here... Also I have The old Cosmo in the pink box.. The latest one and IStyle which does have 3D models on the CD but not in any format that I can read but in Istyle.. I know the salesman at the CompUSA must think I'm awfully vain for I have bought three in the last year... Sheesh I haven't even tried it on myself yet.. Even though I probably need to..hehe
